GREEN TACOMA DAY

The Green Tacoma Partnership, formed in 2005, is a collaborative effort between City of Tacoma, Metro Parks Tacoma, Forterra, Citizens for a Healthy Bay, Pierce Conservation District, businesses, other non-profits, and hundreds of volunteers to restore and maintain our forested parks and open spaces... • We demonstrate equitable solutions that enable collaboration and self-determination of the communities we serve... In the past year, ECC participants increased their support for climate action in the Puget Sound region by setting a new program record. With these commitments, we are supporting local forest restoration by planting 5,695 native evergreen trees to offset carbon emissions, an increase of 34% over the previous year.
