He has extensive work experience with pharmaceutical facilities, enabling him to meet all technical challenges and demanding deadlines. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Alex strives for energy efficiency and sustainability when designing both new and renovated facilities. Keeping informed of the latest engineering technologies, he is committed to knowledge sharing and accountability. He promotes these values in his mechanical team and ensures that all tasks are completed to meet client satisfaction. Education Alex is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Anderson Kong

Since joining the Crossey family in 1998, Anderson has led multiple large-scale projects in the pharmaceutical, educational, healthcare, and commercial sectors. He addresses clients' needs and supplies efficient engineering solutions that meet planned budgets and aesthetic visions. Education Anderson is a Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. Clive R. Lacey

Since joining Crossey Engineering in 1981 and assuming mechanical leadership in 1989, Clive has been a driving force in CEL's growth into one of Canada's lead engineering firms. His wide breadth of experience includes award-winning, high-profile buildings in the healthcare, educational, performing arts, civic, and pharmaceutical sectors. Embracing the "small is beautiful" movement as a teen, Clive became a founding member of CEL Gruen, a Crossey affiliate that specializes in sustainable and renewable design. He is committed to conservation efforts and takes a hands-on, common sense approach when advising clients on cost-effective and energy-efficient solutions. Clive's active leadership has been essential in the evolution of our Mechanical Department. As a mentor, communicator, and facilitator, he encourages the transfer of knowledge as a basic Crossey principle, which comes as a great client advantage. Education Clive is a Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Queen's University. David Sylvester

David Sylvester joined Crossey Engineering in 1994 as an Electrical Engineer. David applies his broad experience to all stages of design. Level-headed and detail-oriented, he leads his team with the approach of "consistent quality", and has a long list of satisfied and repeat clients. With over twenty-five years of practical experience, he listens carefully and ensures that all needs are met with reliable and cost-efficient solutions. David's experience covers a broad range of sectors including institutional, educational, health care, industrial and pharmaceutical projects. His work is innovative and thorough, and he always strives to provide a smooth project transition from start to finish. Education David is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University. Interests David's interests include woodworking, home renovation and outdoor activities.

Duane R. Waite

Since joining Crossey Engineering in 1987, Duane has held an instrumental role in the growth of our Electrical Department and office expansions in Ottawa. As Principal / Electrical Department Head, he holds a hands-on approach and eye for detail that inspires his team to consistently produce quality work. His commitment to reliable and efficient communications and information tracking systems has proven greatly advantageous on complex projects, like our many hospital renovations. Duane also holds unique experience as a Reserve Army Officer. Having spent seven months in Afghanistan, his leadership skills and ability to organize and observe schedules are well developed. He understands the importance of collaboration and works hard to ensure that architectural designs are never compromised. Under Duane's guidance, Crossey remains at the forefront of utilizing the latest and most innovative communications and information modelling technologies. Whether implementing the three-dimensional design program REVIT or developing our interactive, high definition video conferencing centre, he is always in search of ways to better serve our clients. Helena Szymanski

Helena has been a Crossey member since 1982, and during that time has watched the company grow from seventeen employees to over one hundred and forty. Responsible for all financial aspects of our company, she manages financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting as well as project accounting, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, and payroll. As a Senior Associate and Comptroller, Helena works closely with Principals to develop and implement financial and accounting systems that ensure each project is kept on track. She understands the importance of deadlines and works hard to produce documents of maximum precision. Beyond this, Helena is a past President of the Society of Design Administration Canada (SDA). The SDA promotes education and best practices in management and professional standards of design firm personnel. Education Helena holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Certificate in Accounting-Finance from Ryerson University. Interests Helena's hobbies include visiting wineries, going to a local brewery or hiking with Charlie, and golfing.

Ion Luh

Ion brings a unique perspective to Crossey Engineering and its lighting division, Consullux Lighting Consultants. Her interior design and architectural background make her a perfect liaison between the firm's engineers and their architect clients. Whether she is designing functional lighting to ensure technical demanding application in pharmaceutical facilities or dramatic lighting that heightens the theatrical experience of audiences in major concert halls, Ion brings vision and technical expertise to all her work. Because lighting is an abstract design element, Ion understands the importance of communication and employs the latest 3D software to help clients visualize the final effect of her designs. After receiving her Master of Science degree from the Pratt Institute, Ion remained in New York City for ten years, working on award-winning projects throughout the U.S. A Professional Member of the International Association of Lighting Designers, she was instrumental in establishing Consullux in 2000 and received numerous international design awards and speaks at various design conferences globally. Education Ion received her Master of Science in Architecture Interior Design from Pratt Institute in New York City and is a professional member of IALD. Interests Ion's interests include travelling, reading, listening to music and eating.

Russell Baldwin

Russell is a dedicated and accomplished project manager specializing in telecommunications, information system security and technical management. He has over 22 years of specialized military and security project experience set in the Middle East, Europe (NATO) and Libya. Russell gained extensive experience while working for the British Royal Signals as a Signals Engineering Specialist. His responsibilities included equipment care, technical project management, Electronic Surveillance, Counter-Surveillance, Electronic Warfare (EW) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) gathering. Technical Consultant experience attained while working in the Falklands for EADS was to implement a communications system providing communication links for remote radar sites. This included Path Profile Analysis of microwave links. In addition, while working for NATO, his tasks included cyber security, encryption and network protection, as well as technical support to operations in Afghanistan. Education Russell obtained his Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Royal School of Signals and his Bachelor of Science from The Open University in the UK. Interests Russell's interests include Skijoring, Krav Maga, Brazilian Jujitsu and boxing training.

Venkat Srinivas

Venkat has been an employee of Crossey Engineering having started his professional career with us in 1999 as a Mechanical Engineer. His focus on Healthcare Facilities and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facilities over the last 15 years has allowed him to develop a thorough understanding of the mechanical requirements of these complex building types. He has led several P3 projects in pursuits and in implementation. His clients are consistently impressed with his passion for his work, dedication to getting the details right, and efforts to communicate effectively with design teams and other stakeholders. Education Venkat is a Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India and an MBA from the Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Interests Venkat loves to spend time outdoors in nature, hiking and kayaking. Other hobbies include woodworking, photography, playing tennis and squash.

Wallace G. Eley

Wally served as vice president from 1985 to 1992, CEO from 1992 to 2014; and Chairman of the Board from 2015 to 2016. Wally is a pioneer in the Canadian lighting design business. In 2000 he led the establishment of Consullux Lighting Consultants which is a wholly-owned affiliate of Crossey Engineering. He teaches lighting design at the Ryerson Chang School of Continuing Studies in the faculty of Interior Design. Wally is a Professional Engineer in Canada and the US, and he is also a certified lighting consultant (LC). He received his bachelor of science (BASc) from the University of Waterloo in 1975. He is registered to practice in Ontario, Alberta and Michigan.

Yilin Liu

Yilin joined Crossey in 2001. Since her start as a project manager, she has successfully completed a series of increasingly complex and visually astounding projects ranging from educational and performing arts buildings, to pharmaceutical and medical complexes, in Canada and internationally. Yilin is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario since 2003 and recently became a Professional Member in Alberta.
