PRESENT FUTURES

Based at Centre for Contemporary Arts Glasgow (CCA) the festival has worked in partnership with GoMa (Gallery of Modern Art), Goethe Institute, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, The Work Room and Tramway. Present Futures is committed to artist development. Since 2019 the associateship bursary has supported 7 emerging Scottish performance and visual artists to research and present their ideas within the context of the festival. Present Futures is funded by Creative Scotland... Present Futures 2023 returns to the Centre of Contemporary art (CCA) Glasgow on 22 - 24 June. Now in its fifth edition this year's festival focuses on relationships between performance, ecology, and the creation of new myth. Through a series of performances, discussions, and films it considers the creation of new mythologies and ecological transition as we enter collectively into precarious and unknown futures.
