REITMAIER

I am a Post Doctoral Research Assistant for CHERISH-DE, one of six national Digital Economy Centres funded by the EPSRC. Starting with my PhD at the Centre for ICT4D at the University of Cape Town, my research focuses on designing, developing, and evaluating new technologies that give everyday people better access, awareness, and control over the stuff that matters to them. I work at the beautiful Computational Foundry of Swansea University with amazing colleagues and collaborators... Currently, I work for the [CHERISH Digital Economy Research Centre](http://cherish-de.uk/) at Swansea University, where I use human-centred approaches to design, develop, and evaluate new technologies. As a socio-culturally inclined computer scientist and interaction designer, I do this by drawing upon and appreciating the social and cultural practices that enable, surround, and give meaning to the use of current and future technologies.
