Jonathan Davis-Secord is an Associate Professor of English studying the literature of early medieval England. He is the author of Joinings: Compound Words in Old English Literature (UTP, 2016) and of articles on a variety of Old English, Latin, and Middle English works, as well as medieval music. Dr. Davis-Secord's current research focuses on asking new questions of old texts through lenses such as trans studies and critical race theory. He has served as the Associate Chair for Graduate Studies in the UNM English Department and has been part of several regional and international scholarly societies.

Ken Cradock

Ken Cradock is the Director of the Office of Pre-Health Professions Student Development. His research is broadly in insect ecology with a focus on the management of disease vectors through the use of integrated management techniques. He also has interests in insect conservation, forensic entomology, and arthropod pest management in general.

Kenneth Oravetz received his PhD in Literature from Northeastern University in Boston, MA in 2023, and his BA in English from UC Santa Barbara in 2016. As the full-time Lecturer and Coordinator of Critical Text Analysis, Kenneth seeks to use his background in undergraduate writing pedagogy, multimodal rhetoric, literary studies, and English tutoring to help students from all walks of life thrive. Kenneth's PhD research focused on investigating contemporary media culture, materiality, and reading practices through the study of graphic novels and hands-on printmaking. Kenneth continues his investment in those areas through bringing multimodal reading and media studies into the Critical Text Analysis classroom, through involvement with the Albuquerque small press and comics communities, and through continued research. In his free time, Kenneth enjoys hiking, attending concerts, and cooking new recipes.
