ACCENTUATE

Accentuate is a national programme that works in partnership with others to create ground-breaking projects that support and promote the talents of deaf and disabled people in the cultural sector... Currently Accentuate is one of the main delivery partners on the large scale research project D4D, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, working with over 8 Universities and a range of community partners to investigate the ways in which disabled people experience "community". Accentuate is also in the development phase of devising a project which aims to create a sea change in the way D/deaf and disabled people are represented in our museums. Curating for Change, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Art Fund will work with over 20 museums across England to deliver a series of Fellowships and Traineeships for D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse curators...
