BELLHILL WOOD

I'm not one to talk about myself much. Most other things are far more interesting or entertaining. However, I understand that people might want to know something about those who craft things they may want for their homes, offices, or whatever, so here goes... I am a man in my mid-sixties in a rural area of upstate NY. I have worked as a carpenter and woodworker for most of my adult life. I immensely enjoy working with wood. More recently I have departed from the traditional rectilinear form of lines and right angles to the more natural form of the trees that give us such beautiful wood. I am fortunate to have some good trees on my land and even more fortunate to have many not so good trees. I do not cut healthy living trees for my work, but instead look for blown down trees, standing dead wood, and those crowded ones with very few leaves. Many are crooked, bent, and generally wacky.
