Prior to her board role, Amy started as a volunteer with There With Care and then came on staff as National Expansion Director. During that time she helped oversee and streamline operations and helped There With Care expand with its first chapter organization in the Bay Area. The successful creation of our Bay Area chapter in 2012 was an important step in expanding There With Care's ability to serve its mission in communities outside of Colorado.
Before moving to Boulder, Amy lived in the Netherlands with her family for three years. Prior to that she worked at Visa as an instructional designer focusing on technical training and performance management systems.

As Program Director at There With Care, Andrea works with families and social workers to assess their needs and stressors to determine how to best assist and support them. Her favorite part of her role is getting to know the families and hearing about their unique journeys as they navigate the critical illness of their child.
Andrea started with There With Care by volunteering doing family deliveries and preparing gas cards for distribution. She knew, from the moment she first walked in for volunteer orientation, that this was where she wanted to spend her time.
Before joining There With Care, Andrea worked in a pediatric ophthalmology practice for 15 years. Her role included working with families in pediatric oncology, allowing her to experience what families with children in a medical crisis face. She has now found her true home at There With Care and is constantly amazed by the grace she witnesses in the face of a truly turbulent time in their lives.

Anne Trujillo co-anchors Denver7News at 5, 6 and 10pm and is host of "Politics Unplugged" a weekly talk show covering issues important to Coloradans.
Anne began her career at Denver7 as a general assignment reporter where she worked her way up the ranks covering stories from the Columbine and Aurora theatre shootings, to the Democratic National Convention in Denver, to 3 Broncos' Super Bowl appearances.
Anne has won dozens of Emmy awards for her work as a broadcast journalist. Her reporting, writing and anchoring skills have been recognized by the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences, the Colorado Broadcasters Association, The Associated Press and Women in Communications.
Throughout her career, Anne has been active in the community, volunteering for boards and non-profit organizations and frequently serves as emcee for events. Anne was one of the founders of the Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, currently serving as vice president. She also serves as member of an advisory council to the journalism departments at both University of Colorado Boulder and Metropolitan State University.
Anne is married to Mike whom she met at Denver7 and together have two grown children. Anne still makes her home in Littleton, Colorado where she grew up and is a graduate of Littleton High School and the University of Colorado.

Ashton serves as the Group Engagement Coordinator for There With Care's Denver office, working with a variety of groups and partners throughout the community in order to provide the families with care bags.
Ashton first learned of There With Care while working as a medical social worker at Children's Hospital Colorado. During her time there, she also completed her graduate internship in oncology and then went on to specialize in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Through that work, she learned that in supporting children with critical illnesses, you also have to support the family. She loved connecting families with There With Care because she was confident in their ability to care for these families.
Much of her professional career has been dedicated to meeting people where they're at and contributing to their care through emotional support and resources. She's beyond happy she gets to continue supporting these families and rally the Denver community around them.
In her role as Art Director, Betsy is able to translate her gifts as an experienced graphic designer into relevant work serving families in a medical crisis with their child. She supports the marketing team by evolving and executing the brand with designs that enhance the mission, while keeping the focus on the work of There With Care.
After spending a number of years freelancing, Betsy was ready for a new challenge that would channel her community service focus while giving her a place to use her creativity for good. Giving back has been an important part of her life since she was very young, and now she is able to focus her career on helping others.
Bill began volunteering at with There With Care in 2012, working as a talent wrangler during There With Care's annual Boulder and Denver Red Carpet fundraising events. In 2017 Bill began working as a volunteer advisor to the Boulder chapter's grant writing team: nearly a year later, he accepted a part-time position on our grant writing staff.
Prior to moving to Boulder, Bill worked as a copywriter at BBDO Minneapolis and as Creative Director at Talking Dog Media in Seattle. After moving to Boulder, he earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and then worked as a 3-5 grade elementary school teacher in a two-room mountain schoolhouse in Gold Hill, Colorado. In 2017, Bill completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction at CU Boulder's School of Education.

Cassy is the Marketing and Communications Director overseeing the branding, messaging and marketing of There With Care for Colorado and the Bay Area chapters. In addition, she supports the Development, Events, Grants and Volunteer teams, throughout the year.
When Cassy's husband was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer at the age of 43, the experience launched her into a role as a local contact and organizer for others diagnosed with cancer.
Her passion for helping others facing critical illness plus 20 years of running a successful marketing/communications business makes her a natural fit for the There With Care team.

Celia serves as the Marketing Associate on the Communications Team. In her role, she supports the organization's mission by being the go-to contact for the team as project manager, but also managing website updates, wish list coordination, and new employee set up.
After graduating from Iowa State University with a marketing degree, she accepted a position with a Des Moines non-profit, Youth Emergency Services and Shelter. Her background as the Communications Coordinator at YESS gave her a great appreciation for the people and services in this line of caring work. After making the big move from Iowa to Colorado with her partner, Brandon, she's excited to continue providing care and support with There With Care.

Chris Columbus is one of the most successful directors in Hollywood history.
From his screenwriting work with Steven Spielberg in the 1980s on Gremlins and Goonies, to his directorial successes, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Stepmom in the 1990s, Chris has entertained and thrilled audiences around the world.
More recently, Chris directed and/or produced the first three Harry Potter films, adapted from the famous J.K. Rowling novels. The films have brought in over $2.6 billion in box office receipts.
Chris' heartfelt storytelling and ability to connect with families through his films provides a natural extension for his work with There With Care. He is a member of the San Francisco Foundation, assists with NYU Tisch School of the Arts in fundraising efforts and is a long-time supporter of MS Foundation of Los Angeles.

Chris was originally introduced to There With Care in 2014 when a group of moms went to the office for a volunteer project. She immediately felt connected to the mission, became a consistent volunteer, then became an official employee in 2019!
Being a former elementary teacher, Chris excels at multitasking and connecting with others. She's a great asset to the There With Care team because she's a fabulous team player, hard-working, and highly organized.

Dana has a bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Communications from Bentley College in Boston. Prior to joining the There With Care team in September of 2008, Dana owned and operated local wireless cell phone stores for 15 years with her husband and served both personal and corporate retail clients in Boulder and Denver. Since There With Care's inception in 2005, Dana has volunteered directly with families, at fundraising events, and at the Presbyterian/St. Luke's NICU soup station. She has inspired many community members and close friends and businesses to become involved in There With Care and has made a significant impact on the organization both as a volunteer and now as an employee with the primary responsibilities of community and corporate relations, fundraising, donor relations and event and program sponsorships. Dana is highly organized and dedicated with strong work ethic and true passion for the organization's mission. Dana is a daily gift to There With Care.

As Operations Coordinator, Danielle organizes the various donations from local vendors, supports the warehouse team and works directly with the Programs Team to make sure every family receives their deliveries each week.
After moving to Colorado, Danielle volunteered with several organizations but she felt most passionate about There With Care and its mission. She started doing family deliveries and helping with events before joining the Operations Department.
Danielle has a background in sales and design focusing on supporting mission driven businesses. Along with her professional life, she has a long history of volunteering and giving back to her community.

Dr. Jody Mathie is a primary care pediatrician who founded her own practice, Cherry Creek Pediatrics, in 1985 in the heart of Denver, CO. Prior to opening her practice, she completed her residency at Children's Hospital Colorado, and was awarded the Joseph Butterfield Award in Perinatology for her work in the NICU while a resident. She has been listed in 5280 Magazine's TOP DOCS issue for 16 years. She recently completed 11 years on the Board of Directors of the Children's Hospital Colorado.
Dr. Mathie was born and raised in North Canton, Ohio, moving to the Denver area following graduation from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1981. She did her undergrad work in Biology at Grove City College, where she graduated with honors in 1977. Dr. Mathie has been a member of the Grove City College Board of Trustees since 2006, and currently serves as the Chair of the Academic Committee.
Highly respected in her field, Dr. Mathie has won additional teaching awards, including the Outstanding Service Award presented by the Children's Hospital Medical Staff in 2008, and the Career Teaching Scholar Award, presented by the University of Colorado Department of Pediatrics in 2011. She served as President of the Medical Staff at Children's Hospital from 2000 to 2002, and currently is an Associate Professor there. Dr. Mathie created the Hospital's Quality and Patient Safety Committee in 2009, and continues to serve as the Vice Chair. She remains a devoted fundraiser for children, especially those facing critical illness.
For many years Dr. Mathie has hosted fundraising events for There With Care to help provide support and growth in the community. She embodies the mission of the organization and with her help, the organization has been able to be there for thousands of patients and their families. We are proud to have Dr. Mathie on the Board of Directors and to grateful to have her help and trust.

Geoff Hansen is a notable Hollywood Assistant Director who began his career producing television commercials in New York in the 1980s.
Since then, he has found himself working closely on Hollywood movie sets alongside such actors as Julia Roberts, John Travolta, Nicolas Cage, Susan Sarandon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, John Cusack, Robert Conrad, MacCauly Culkin, Sally Field, Sandra Bullock, John Candy, and Robin Williams.
As the Controller, Gina works on a contract basis to lead the finance team and streamline financial processes. She also supports There With Care's expansion efforts.
Gina recently held the position of CFO/HR Director at ACE Scholarships during a time of expansion and exponential growth. Since then, she's worked in a consulting capacity with several clients, providing financial support ranging from operational accounting to strategic planning.
She has several years of experience streamlining operational accounting processes and building the accounting infrastructure required to support growth. Gina is eager to draw on past experience to help grow There With Care's essential services nationally.

Always with an eye on the bigger picture, Hank is responsible for finance, HR, systems, facilities and operations, as well as driving the launch of new locations nationally.
As a father of five who feels he has been blessed with incredible opportunities, Hank feels the call to serve others. He is excited to see his skills in organization-building and execution have a direct impact on families and children facing a critical illness.
Hank's years in industrial distribution and manufacturing bring a tremendous skill set to the team, and he is humbled to be a part of an organization that focuses on community service and family.

As a There With Care Program Coordinator, Hannah provides direct support to families going through a medical crisis. Her goal is to be a person families trust and connect with in their difficulties so she can assist them with resources and care that offer immediate and tangible support.
She was drawn to There With Care's mission because she wanted to be part of an organization that impacts the people's lives in such a personal way. Working for the organization has created a true passion for her to find ways to meet families where they are with care.
Hannah has worked with numerous non-profit organizations, including in residential homes, job coaching individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and volunteering with various organizations to help people at a time when the need is the greatest.
Jackie served as trustee for Cambridge, UK-based Wallace Cancer Care, dedicated to providing complementary care and practical support to cancer patients and their families. She volunteered and served as director and secretary of the board for the Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation, raised funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and volunteered as a coach and mentor for San Francisco-based Girls on the Run. Jackie was drawn to the transforming effect of There With Care's simple and kind approach to care; to listen, and do what is most helpful for each and every family.

Jennifer supports There With Care's mission by serving as the Operations Coordinator in Boulder, responsible for helping organize, gather, and distribute care packages and goods to the families served.
After learning more about this role, she became instantly impressed by There With Care's devotion to the mission and decided to join the team herself! She hopes to bring her past work experience of helping others in need to this role.

John Marlow is an associate vice president for U.S. Engineering Construction in the Rocky Mountain region. U.S. Engineering Construction (USE) is a mechanical contractor which celebrated its 125 th Anniversary in 2018. While USE is a mechanical contractor, it does not want to be recognized only as such. USE believes its team members are not only stewards of the company but also the industry and the communities in which it serves and where its team members live. USE's mission is to "Leave a Legacy" and the way they want to do this is by helping their clients accomplish each of their missions. USE realizes they are building more than just buildings…they are building lasting relationships by doing more than just mechanical contracting.
Throughout John's career, he's continually stepped up and taken on more responsibility from project engineer to executive. John always believes in helping and mentoring those with whom he works as well as giving back to communities and the construction industry. Since 2006, John teaches twice a year at the University of Texas, Austin, for Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). He also was an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Colorado State University (CSU), from 2007-2009 and continues to support the Construction Management Program at CSU.
John holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from CSU. He is a member of Toastmasters, volunteers for ThereWithCare, serves on the Professional Advisory Development Board for the Construction Management program at CSU and is on the PVH/MCR Foundation Spring Benefit Committee. In addition to this, John chairs USE's annual charity golf tournament for the region.
When not at work, John is spending time with his family. John met his wife, Kristy, at CSU when they were freshmen and they married immediately following graduation. Together, they have four wonderful children, Seth, Bryce, Logan, and Raegan.
There With Care is grateful to have Julie join the Programs Team as a Program Coordinator, supporting a mission that she is very passionate about.
Julie began as a volunteer at There With Care and started with us in the Volunteer Department as Groups Volunteer Coordinator. Her passion for helping the families we serve led her to the Programs Team supporting families directly and coordinating their care. She has a kind and generous heart and is a wonderful leader for the community who give their care for the families and children we serve.
She has a background in teaching and also holds a degree in Counseling Psychology. Julie has been a long time volunteer and supporter of There With Care and is thrilled to be a part of the There With Care Team. She lives with her two children and two dogs in Boulder, CO.

Katie has been involved with numerous non-profit organizations in the community and joined TWC as their Community Development Associate in 2015. With a background in Marketing and Event Planning, Katie helps engage organizations in whatever way is meaningful to them; whether that's collecting cereal with a food drive, having a shopping night at a local clothing store, doing a beer and food pairing event, or organizing a book fair at a local bookstore. In addition, Katie helps organize the auctions at our signature events and collaborates with the rest of the Development team to help make these a success.

As the Corporate Engagement Director, Kim introduces and welcomes new community businesses, foundations, and organizations to There With Care and the mission. This role begins, nurtures, and supports engagements and partnerships through sponsorships, grants, volunteer opportunities, team building opportunities, in-kind drives and community events that benefit There With Care.
Kim was first introduced to There With Care when she met Executive Director, Paula, and VP of Development, Dana, over 10 years ago through mutual friends. There With Care captured her heart during her very first visit to the Boulder office after learning about the There With Care story, Co-Founders and mission. She became a passionate ambassador, sharing the There With Care mission with family, friends and her professional network, and was able to foster a year-round engagement platform at her former company, Enterprise Holdings.
Before joining the team, Kim spent the past 26 years as part of the senior leadership team at Enterprise Holdings. Her leadership experience includes both sales and operations. Some of her responsibilities included forging long-term relationships, building and managing customized partnerships, setting, guiding and executing the sales process, team building, and professional development. She's also worked with many nonprofit organizations throughout Colorado, with experience in community involvement, philanthropy, and grant writing. Motivated by a strong mission and purpose, she's deeply committed to people and community, and her most joyful spaces involve making a difference.

Kirsten Heckendorf came to There With Care as a volunteer for the organization with passion for its mission. Soon, she began planning and overseeing the first Denver-based Golf Tournament in 2013 and organized the first Alex and Ani sale benefiting There With Care. These events brought many new friends to the organization and began expanding the outreach of There With Care in the Denver area.
Ms. Heckendorf is a valuable member of the Annual Signature Events and is an integral part of the Events Committee. In 2014, Ms. Heckendorf helped launch a community space in Denver, home for volunteers and donors, to come together on projects that support the programs and services provided by There With Care.
Ms. Heckendorf previously worked in medical and legal fields for more than twenty-two years as a Project Manager and Director of Operations, providing medical and environmental experts (primarily in toxic torts including Anderson vs. PG&E aka: Erin Brokovich Case) with document management and research to prepare physicians and experts for testimony. In 2005 Ms. Heckendorf scaled back and became a care provider to her sister-in-law during her battle with cancer, and finally concluded her last case in the fall of 2012. Ms. Heckendorf continues to provide management consulting to small businesses.
Bringing tireless dedication and energy to There With Care, Kirsten has helped to expand the community of care to help better support the families we serve during a fragile time. We are grateful for her service and are fortunate and honored to have her on the Board of Directors.

Serving as There With Care's Community Space Coordinator, Lisa is responsible for packing family deliveries, loading volunteer vehicles, and keeping the pantry stocked and clean. She's quick to assist wherever she's needed to support the overall mission of supporting families.
After several years of volunteering for There With Care, she decided to get more involved with the mission and officially joined our growing team in Denver! Her professional experience has taught her how to multi-task, work with an end goal in mind, and efficiently manage her time.
Elizabeth (Liz) has been a life-long volunteer, and started with There With Care in 2006, helping one of TWC's first families. She has participated in practically every aspect of the organization, from the Holiday Program to the soup kitchen, home deliveries to fundraising events. In 2016, she became part of the There With Care staff as a Programs Support Coordinator. Liz manages the Boulder warehouse, organizes the various donations from local vendors, and works directly with the Programs Team to make sure every family receives their deliveries each week.
Liz holds a BS from Boston University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College in Chicago. She uses those skills as a volunteer, helping write grants for future funding. She is proud to be a part of one of the kindest, caring and most generous organizations in which she has volunteered.

Mellenie works within the Denver Community as the Denver Development Director to serve There With Care families. Given her passion to help others, Mellenie began volunteering at There With Care with her twin boys delivering groceries to children and their families. She has also served as the check-in and check-out lead at our signature events and has been very moved by the caring support of the community.
Mellenie has been a volunteer with Children's Hospital of Colorado for the past 4 years helping children and their families ease the stress of their hospital experience through creative play activities and bedside support. She currently serves on the Association of Volunteer Board of Directors as the Junior Volunteer Board Chair guiding teens through leadership development with patient and family experience activities. Mellenie has also chaired committees within her children's school, helped teachers in the classroom and was the Mothers of Multiple Expectant Co-Chair helping provide guidance to new parents expecting twins.
In addition to her volunteerism, Mellenie brings her extensive background in strategic brand management, integrated marketing campaigns, project management, event planning, consumer promotions, media placement and budget management to There With Care. She's has worked with companies such as H&R Block, Coors Brewing Company, and The Integer Group, Denver.

Michael is an Emmy-nominated producer whose work has been seen on both the big and small screens. His most notable works include the first three Harry Potter films, Jingle All The Way, Stepmom, Cheaper by the Dozen and the film version of the Tony award- and Pulitzer Prize musical Rent.
Michael has produced dozens of movies and mini-series for television including the highly acclaimed mini-series, The Kennedys of Massachusetts.
Michael's dedication to There With Care stems from his own experience coping with the serious illness of a loved one. He is committed to easing the burdens of families facing similar hardship.

Mimi is CEO of Roberson Consulting Group LLC, after having served for 15 years as President and CEO of Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. An active philanthropist and volunteer, she has served on a multitude of civic and philanthropic organizations including the Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, Metro Denver Leadership Foundation, BBVA Compass Bank, Judi's House, March of Dimes, Colorado Hospital Association and Federation of American Hospitals, among others.

In 2005, Paula DuPré Pesmen left a successful feature film career to found There With Care, now in its twelfth year of service for families facing critical illness. During her time as the Associate Producer on the first three Harry Potter films, she was inspired by over 60 families of critically ill children through a program she started with film director Chris Columbus, welcoming them to the Harry Potter movie set for their wish-for-a-day.
Paula also learned firsthand what it meant to be in a family facing medical crisis when her husband, Curt, was diagnosed with and successfully treated for advanced colon cancer. As founder of There With Care and a member of its Board of Directors, Paula oversees the daily operations of the organization. The overwhelming support Paula has received from her personal and professional communities is a testament to her passion for helping families in need.

Before joining the Board of TWC, Ruchi began as a volunteer in the Denver office. Supporting cancer patients and their families has significant meaning to Ruchi as she has personal experience of the spectrum of care and support needed by patients and their families while undergoing cancer treatment. She believes TWC makes a significant and meaningful impact on the lives of patients through their compassion, care, and support.
Ruchi has worked in various industries, including public accounting, high technology, and financial advisory services. She has been an active volunteer in the community and has served on the Board of Rocky Mountain Cancer Assistance ,which provided financial assistance to cancer patients. Ruchi has a B.A. in Finance and Accounting and an M.B.A. in Finance.
Ruchi lives in Denver, with her husband Mark Brunvand, a physician specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant, and has an adult daughter, Claire.

Sheri has an extensive background as a Global HR executive with over 20 years of business leadership experience spanning start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Stephen Webster is an accomplished sales and business development executive in the telecommunications industry. He is a respected leader who is skilled at building trusted, long-term and strategic client relationships. Stephen served as the Vice President of Carrier Sales at Charter Communications, Inc., for the last several years. He came to Charter from Comcast where he was Vice President of Sales at Comcast's Colorado regional office. He previously served in various corporate strategy and field leadership roles at TCI and AT&T Broadband. Stephen also spent time in Washington, D.C. as an aide to Senator William V. Roth, Jr. of Delaware.

He lives in Denver with his wife, Jennifer, and has two adult children, Drew and Finn, and a Goldendoodle named Reilly.
