Benjiman Godbout is a Director within the Investment Banking Division at Carl Marks Advisors and has over ten years of financial services experience. Billy Kirkpatrick works closely with management, legal, and investment banking constituents to identify and implement profit restoration initiatives and restructurings, including M&A transactions. He has served in various roles for numerous companies, including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Restructuring Officer, Corporate Controller, and Creditor Advisor. His broad industry experience includes oil & gas services, steel, copper, chemical manufacturing, transportation and logistics, food production and distribution, entertainment (theme park), and business services.
Before joining Carl Marks Advisors, Mr. Kirkpatrick was CFO of PARC Management LLC, a nationwide operator of Theme Parks, with seven parks generating $120 million in revenues. There, he was involved in the acquisition and operational integration of the parks, including Six Flags, providing financial reporting, cash flow management, supervision of accounting, banking and audit relationships. Previously, he served as Corporate Controller of Griffin LLC, a $400 million global manufacturer and distributor of generic crop protection chemicals. He was responsible for corporate accounting, financial reporting, operational planning and had global functional reporting responsibility for four regional finance directors and four manufacturing controllers.
Mr. Kirkpatrick's early career was in public accounting, Oil and Gas exploration and production, and specialty chemical manufacturing. He served as Vice President, General Mgr., Controller, and Auditor in such firms as Sun Chemical, Anadarko Petroleum, and Panhandle Eastern Corp.

Joel R. Jacks is a Managing Partner and a Founder of CM Equity Partners. In 1992, Mr. Jacks co-founded and managed Carl Marks Consulting Group LLC. He has extensive experience in managing companies and restructuring debt in a wide variety of industries. From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Jacks was a private consultant involved in interim management and profit improvement programs for under-performing companies. From 1984 to 1988, he served as CFO, and later as CEO, of USSCO (a subsidiary of ADT, Ltd.), a distributor of security alarm and CCTV equipment throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Jon Bushnell is a managing director at Carl Marks Advisors. Robert C. Lau, III has more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive in U.S. financial markets. He is currently responsible for leading the nationwide business development for Carl Marks Advisors. Prior to joining Carl Marks, Mr. Lau was a senior vice president at CIT Group Inc., where he focused on building and maintaining a diverse referral source network with equity sponsors, investment banks, attorneys, and turnaround professionals. While at CIT, Mr. Lau closed financings in support of a variety of situations, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and bankruptcies.

Don Stires has over 40 years of experience providing financial and operational advisory services and serving as a senior corporate executive. He has an extensive background in turnarounds and restructurings, profit improvements, strategic planning, implementing operational improvements, assessing and improving business plans, improving financial systems, financial planning and serving in interim management roles across a wide spectrum of industries.
Mr. Stires combines a strong financial background with solid team and business building skills. He is experienced in assessing and optimizing business processes, cost reduction, and product development activities, specializing in the healthcare field.

Subsequent to his tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Don held senior positions in three venture-funded startups in the cardiology and endo-surgery area. While there, he was responsible for building high performance product development teams, developing and executing business plans, and raising capital.
Mr. Stires has a BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Columbia University.
