Anna Glogowska

Biography Anna is an experienced specialist teacher of pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism. Anna currently works in a specialist setting for pupils aged 11 - 19 years and is the lead teacher for a group of pupils with autism and severe learning difficulties. Anna is a qualified sensory integration therapist and recognises the profound impact of sensory processing disorders on pupils causing difficulties not only in their learning but also in their behaviour and emotional well-being. Anna has worked in both mainstream and specialist settings and has incorporated her knowledge and skills of sensory issues with her day to day teaching practice. She provides training for teachers and support staff in her specialist areas adopting a hands-on and practical approach.

Barbara Di Benedetto

Biography Barbara is a psychologist who is in the process of applying for her HCPC membership. Barbara has a strong knowledge of neuropsychology and developmental psychopathology. She worked with children who have disabilities and young people in school, home and community settings for over five years. Barbara has a particular interest for anxiety disorders, which was the topic of her research project during her training. Barbara has experience in using positive behaviour support (PBS) as a rehabilitative tool to support children with behaviour, communication and social impairments. Barbara is actively involved in the assessment and rehabilitation of children and young people suffering from acquired and developmental brain injury.

Benjamin Say

Biography Benjamin has worked with children all his life and paediatric physiotherapy has always been his passion. Having been a biology tutor, swimming teacher, coach and outdoors instructor, Benjamin's communication skills have been developed in a unique way. Benjamin has worked with deaf and partially sighted groups, groups of people with downs-syndrome, special schools and Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) with children aged 4 to 18. He prides himself on his ability to make every child feel comfortable and engaged.

Catherine O'Sullivan

Biography Catherine is a qualified teacher and highly knowledgeable and skilled paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with 16 years clinical experience working within the NHS. Catherine's consultancy experience comes from her extensive clinical experience together with a managerial role. Coaching and training education practitioners in adapting classroom practice for pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) is of particular interest to Catherine. Catherine has worked in mainstream, specialist educational settings and specialist resource bases with ages 0-25. Language interventions designed by Catherine support and raise pupils' literacy attainment.

Clare Vaughan

Biography Clare is a qualified Post-16 teacher who retrained as a speech and language therapist. Alongside speech and language, Clare specialises in Autism and Dyslexia. Clare has worked in mainstream primary, mainstream secondary and residential school settings.

Dr Clare Duddridge

Biography Dr Clare Duddridge is a chartered clinical psychologist with a specialism in adolescent mental health. Clare has significant experience working with young people who have a range of complex difficulties. She has worked within a clinical and forensic setting to deliver therapeutic interventions and assessments.

Dr Julie Alfrey

Biography Julie is an educational and child psychologist with specific experience working with children and young people who have special educational needs, disabilities and looked after status. Julie has experience with Education Health and Care (EHC) Plans and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). She has experience as a specialist teacher for Autism. Her background in teaching enables her to be relevant to the National Curriculum and take into account teaching constraints. Julie takes a holistic approach during her time with the student. Julie has experience both in private and LA practice.

Dr Kelly Ward

Biography Dr Kelly Ward has had a broad range of experience whilst being an educational and child psychologist. Kelly provides both statutory and non-statutory services, including assessments, interventions and consultancy. Kelly takes a joined-up and dynamic approach to promote learning and to help children and young people to live happy, healthy and fulfilled lives.

Gary McBrien

Biography Gary has over twenty years of experience in management within specialist children and adult services. His background is in social care and special educational needs within a variety of local authorities. Gary is skilled in assessing and reviewing current services and then redesigning if necessary to achieve efficiency. Gary has experience in SEND reforms and services, which when incorporated into his social work background, makes him a valuable consultant for whole school approaches. Delivering cost effective, efficient solutions is important to support educational settings, staff and students.

Jennifer Roche

Biography Jennifer is a highly specialist speech and language therapist in multiple areas, including dysfluency. In addition to providing supervision, Jennifer also lectures at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) to undergraduate and Master's level speech and language therapy students.

Niamh Gilligan
