Ed Morata

Ed Morata chairs the board of the Foundation for the Innovation and Development of Health Safety, and also serves as President and CEO of Lug Healthcare Technology, Founding Partner of Eneas Alternative Investments. Morata has over 30 years experience in the financial sector spanning the globe -- South America, Asia, Europe, and the United States. He holds a Master of International Economic Relations Law from the Pontiticia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, a BA in Public Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and Executive Education from the University of Sao Paulo, Harvard University, IESE, and INSEAD. Gary A. Brodsky

Gary A. Brodsky serves on the Foundation's Steering Committee for the First Annual International Patient Safety Symposium that took place at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in January, 2020, that has convened thought leaders in digital health innovation to discuss digital strategies for hospitals, insurers, and pharma. Brodsky is the Team Captain of the Patriots Platelet Pedalers, the largest team to ever ride in the Pan Mass Challenge having raised over US$11 million for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's multiple myeloma research led by Dr. Ken Anderson. José Ignacio Echániz

José Ignacio Echániz, MD, is a Spanish Parliamentarian, Deputy of the Popular Party of Guadalajara. In October 2019 he was appointed Vice President of the Advisory Group on Health of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Dr. Echaniz has served in several health/safety positions, including VP of the Regional Institute for the Safety and Health in Work Environment, board member of the Madrilenian Institute for Professional Education, Member of the Governing Board of the Carlos III Health Institute and of the Interregional Council of the Nacional Health System, President of the Board of Directors of the Madrilenian Health Service, and of the Madrilenian Institute of Health. Thais C. Morata

Thais C. Morata, PhD, is a Founding Editorial Board Member for the Cochrane Work (Occupational Safety and Health) systematic review group, and a Senior Researcher at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States. She directs the Safe-in-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Awards™ and is also a Founding Associate Editor of the International Journal of Audiology. Dr. Morata has published and lectured extensively in the United States and abroad, including the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and The University of Queensland. She is recognized as a mentor and collaborator with researchers across the globe, and a recipient of several awards. Dr. Morata's pioneering work in noise interactions in the workplace has influenced NIOSH priorities and policy as well as national and international occupational safety and health policies.
