Abi Jaques

Job Titles:
  • Senior Coach
Abi is a National level DMT gymnast who has been selected to represent England on several occasions and is in the English DMT squad. Starting life as a highly successful artistic gymnast, she has done a degree in Sports & Exercise Science at the University of Brighton and is in the process of becoming a Performance Trampoline Coach. Abi is responsible for the creation of the TID and FastTrack squads and is also in charge of the Club's social media sites.

Amalia Novellino de Wong

Job Titles:

Amalia's three children are all part of the Club and so Amalia didn't stand a chance! Already an experienced Dance teacher, her enthusiasm for her classes is evident and her gymnasts have an amazing time in her classes. Amalia has gained her Level 1 Gymnastics coaching qualification and is on her way to achieving her Level 2.

Amelie Woodbridge-Cox

Amy Woolgar

A stalwart member of the Jump Fit sessions, Amy is a teacher at a local Primary School and brings her wealth of teaching experience to her role as a Trustee.

Beth Jaques

Beth is Abi's Mum and the Centre has been part of her life for over 10 years now. Through both hers and Abi's experiences, she is able to see the Centre through a parent, volunteer, staff member and gymnast's perspective. She has volunteered for many years for Lewes Swimming Club and has many years experience in bookkeeping and admin.

Catherine Kelly

Catherine has been coaching for many years in leisure centres across the county and brings huge experience to the coaching team and basically we could not do without her!

Debbie Green

Job Titles:
  • Senior Coach
Debbie joined the team, as many do, as a parent who got involved and has developed into one of our most senior Coaches. She is great fun to be around and brings out the best in those she coaches. She is very caring and everyone loves her! With Debbie's enthusiasm for all aspects of judging, she has recently taken on the responsibility of buidling a team of judges for all levels of competition the Club enters.

Fern Smith

Fern started at Sky High as an Apprentice alongside Poppy, but it was soon evident that she should become a permanent member of the coaching team. Fern has already gained her Level 1 Gymnastics coaching qualification and is soon to embark on her Level 2. Fern is also a member of a local Cheer squad and brings a lot of experience to her coaching from this. She is very keen to coach Tumbling so is soon to begin on the Tumbling coach pathway.

Finlay Andrews

Finlay is not only a retired National trampoline gymnast, but also Gail's son. He celebrated his 8th birthday on the day the Centre opened and hasn't left since!

Gail Andrews

Gail, a National level performer herself now retired, has had a passion for the sport nearly all her life. Her career as a research scientist for the Wellcome Foundation, moved on to the sport of snowboarding, before she married and settled down to family life. She brings vast experience to the Centre and is a superb role model to her coaching team at Sky High, guiding them to become the best, in order to provide the best coaching to all who come to the Centre.

Ian Scott-Smith

I first became involved in the Centre when my two sons started attending; Dylan is a member of the junior squads for tumble and trampolining and Oscar is part of the senior tumble squad. I have witnessed the high standards and the high quality of coaching coupled with the nurturing and support that the gymnasts receive and am delighted to have the opportunity to support and contribute to this as a Trustee. I have taught for over 20 years in sixth form education, specialising in Economics and Business and now hold Director level responsibilities in the College.

Layla Nightingale-Keech

Layla was part of the Tumbling squad but had problems with injury and turned her desire to win to the trampoline. Layla is one of our Senior squad and also coaches the Development Tumble squads.

Lisa Boarer

"I became a trustee to support my sister Stella. I listened to her many years ago when her trampoline centre was just an idea in her head and she began searching for a building high enough!

Mark Poore

Job Titles:
  • Lead Gymnastics & Tumble Coach
Mark, a retired National level tumbler has been involved in gymnastics for nearly all of his life. He is nearing completion of his Level 3 Tumble Coach qualification, however has been hampered by the pandemic and cannot wait to finish it! Mark has vast experience in all aspects of gymnastics and has recently been appointed our Health & Safety Officer.

Poppy Martin

Poppy joined the team at Sky High in August 2021 as an Apprentice facilitated by Coach Core and Active Sussex. She has been involved in all aspects of the Centre's work and has recently gained her Level 1 Gymnastics coaching qualification. She is currently working on her Level 1 Trampoline coaching qualificiation and is enrolled on a Freestyle Gymnastics course in August. She is an enormous asset to the Club.

Rosie Sullivan

Rosie has been at Sky High since she was a little tot and she is now about to go to University having competed for the Club for the majority of that time! She has a wonderful way with the youngsters she coaches, working primarily with the TID squad. She is keen to progress to gain her coaching qualifications and we are delighted to have her on the team.

Stella Jackson

Stella has been involved in trampoline for over 50 years as a competitor, parent and Coach. She worked primarily in school finance, her last position before opening the Centre being at the School for Profound Education (formerly St Margaret's School) at the Children's Trust, a school for children and young people with profound and multiple learning and physical difficulties. She passionately believes in making all activities at Fun Abounds accessible to everyone.
