Dr. David Augustson

Dr. David Augustson was born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He moved to Minnesota to attend Macalester College, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Before attending dental school, Dr. Augustson worked as a research assistant at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, investigating enamel erosion. He continued on at the University of Minnesota to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. After graduation, Dr. Augustson completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle before moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he practiced for three years while his wife trained at the University of Michigan. Dr. Augustson moved back to Minnesota in 2018 when he and his family settled in Woodbury. After practicing in Burnsville for over two years, he joined Woodbury Dental care in 2021. He is thrilled to serve the same community that he calls home. Dr. Augustson strives to be an empathetic and caring provider while always maintaining a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and commitment to lifelong learning. He loves the variety of ways that general dentistry can profoundly impact his patients' lives. When not in the office, Dr. Augustson enjoys spending time with his wife, Neli, and their two kids, William and Eloise. His favorite hobbies include cooking, watching sports, and long-distance running.

Dr. Emily Wernberg

Dr. Emily Wernberg was born and raised in Eagan, Minnesota. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology and biology. She decided to continue her education at a rival school, where she became a Minnesota Gopher and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Wernberg joined Woodbury Dental Care in 2016. Dr. Wernberg is passionate about dentistry because it allows her to alleviate pain, prevent disease, and improve smiles. She strives to get to know her patients and their unique situations to develop an individualized treatment plan with their concerns in mind. Dr. Wernberg lives in Woodbury with her husband, Luke, and their two boys. They love exploring Woodbury and all that the surrounding areas have to offer. When not in the office, Dr. Wernberg enjoys being with family and friends, spending time outdoors, and being active.

Dr. Michael Pelke

Dr. Michael Pelke is the sole owner and most senior dentist at Woodbury Dental Care. He started in private practice in 2002 and teamed up with Dr. Kyle Edlund in 2004. Together, they grew the office from seven operatories to the seventeen we have today. Dr. Pelke strives to be a caring and compassionate provider and enjoys spending time with his patients and listening to their stories. Born and raised in Minnesota, Dr. Pelke grew up in Rochester, where he attended John Marshall High School. He received a bachelor's degree from Drake University and earned his doctorate in dentistry from the University of Minnesota. Outside the office, Dr. Pelke is a committed family guy, and he and his wife, Jill, recently celebrated 20 years together. With two children in college and one in high school, the Pelkes can often be found at local sporting events and activities.

Dr. Stephanie Wenzel

Dr. Stephanie Wenzel is a third-generation dentist who, along with her father and grandfather, attended the University of Minnesota, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While at the School of Dentistry, she first realized the enjoyment of building friendly and professional relationships with patients based on trust and honesty. Her goal is to provide patients with the best care possible and put them at ease, especially those traditionally fearful of coming to the dentist. Dr. Wenzel grew up in Brainerd, Minnesota, where she developed an appreciation for the outdoors. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, biking, and boating. Dr. Wenzel has called Woodbury home for the past 12 years and has raised her identical twin girls, Abby and Ella, here.
