Based in the second oldest property in the Village, Stretton Joinery Construction Ltd was established in 1975 by Stan and Anne, in 1984 saw the opening of a hardware store within, what was originally, the Blacksmiths shop on the corner of the building onto Main Street. This was very soon joined by a Halifax agency, which was very well supported by the village community until its closure in 2000... S J Property Services started trading alongside the Halifax, offering residential property sales and financial advice to the local community, with eldest daughter Helen at the helm. Following the closure of the Halifax Agency the Property Services was further increased with the opening of the Lettings department, closely followed by the arrival of youngest daughter Julie into the business.
