ALLIANCE FOR INTERNATIONAL MEDICINE

Our goals align with the World Health Organization's initiative on providing surgical and anesthesia services to resource-restricted countries. We build strong alliances with local healthcare workers so they may provide a higher standard of care to their patients year-round. We also deliver care directly to these communities by bringing highly trained specialists who not only donate their medical expertise to the local population, but work side by side with our international peers to help advance medical knowledge, while also coming to a better understanding of the cultures in which we serve... We provide video conferencing, lectures, and annual return trips to reinforce and teach new surgical and anesthesia techniques. We also follow outcomes through rigorous data collection and analysis on a monthly basis. We are currently working on developing 1-6 month fellowships for visiting surgeons and anesthesiologists from host countries.
