CHATTANOOGA DENTAL ARTS - Key Persons
Jancy A. Parkerson-McGovern, DMD, FICOI, is a native of Eastman, Georgia. She attended Mercer University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Chemistry in 2009. She then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University (formerly Medical College of Georgia) in 2013. After graduation, Dr. Parkerson continued her dental education with a two-year General Practice Residency also at The Dental College of Georgia. During residency, she became proficient in various surgical aspects of dentistry such as dental implants, IV conscious sedation, and dentally complex patients.
After residency, Dr. Parkerson entered into private practice as an independent contractor at various offices in the Augusta metro area where she practiced for several years. During that time, she also served as a part-time clinical instructor in the Department of Restorative Science and General Practice Residency at The Dental College of Georgia.
She enjoys practicing with her husband, Dr. Daniel McGovern, and serving patients together. In her practice, she focuses on comprehensive care with an emphasis on surgical, sedation, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Parkerson also incorporates Botox and dermal fillers into her practice in order to treat comprehensive facial aesthetics. She enjoys lecturing to colleagues on facial aesthetics, Botox, and dermal fillers as well.
Dr. Parkerson is dual-licensed in both Tennessee and Georgia, and she remains adjunct faculty at The Dental College of Georgia. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Hinman Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
When she is away from the office, Dr. Parkerson enjoys traveling, fitness, spending time with her daughter, Adleigh and her husband and their two dogs, Maggie and Paisley.

Jessica Dupree serves Chattanooga Dental Arts an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. She graduated from Miller-Motte Technical College in 2015 as an Registered Dental Assistant. Then in 2018, Jessica wanted to further her career and obtained her expanded function licensure at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Jessica loves being in the dental field and serving patients. This has been her passion since she was a little girl. While not at work, Jessica loves hiking and spending time with her family.

Leah was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. She has been a dental assistant since 2010 and loves every minute of it! She attended Chattanooga State for Dental Assisting where she also obtained her Associates in Health Science. Leah is both a Registered Dental Assistant and Certified Dental Assistant. She is a member of the American Dental Assistant Association and the President of the Tennessee Dental Assistant Association. When she is not making people smile, Leah is hanging out with her dog, Champ Bailey! Leah and Champ both are big UGA Fans!

Michele is a Chattanooga native. Born and raised in Hixson, Michele went to Notre Dame High School and has live in East Ridge for the past 18 years. Michele attended Bellarmine University in Louisville KY and graduated from the Chattanooga State Dental Hygiene program in 2007.
Michele enjoys spending time with her 2 children, Carter & Reagan. She is active in her daughters Girl Scout troop (hello cookie season!) and loves to cheer for her sons football team. Michele is an avid traveler and enjoys cruising and theme parks.
Sandra is a Chattanooga native, attended Brainerd High School and earned her registration and certification in Dental Assisting from Chattanooga State. She has been a dental assistant for 31 years. Sandra has two daughters and one granddaughter and enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Stephanie has been a RDA since 2012. In 2022, she attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center to obtain her expanded functions licensure. Stephanie loves working in the dental field and enjoys helping patients have an incredible experience when coming to the Dentist.
Outside of work, Stephanie loves to spend time with her daughter, attend concerts, and travel.
