Akihiko Sugiyama (a.k.a. Ken Sugiyama), affiliated with Yahoo! JAPAN Research, has been engaged in a wide variety of research projects in signal processing such as audio coding and interference/noise control. Prior to Yahoo Japan, he had a long career at NEC Central Research Laboratories as a research engineer. His team at NEC developed the world's first all solid-state portable audio player, the Silicon Audio, in 1994, a precursor of iPod. He served as the Chair of Audio and Acoustic Signal Processing Technical Committee, IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) [2011-2012], as associate editors for several journals such as IEEE Trans. Signal Processing [1994-1996], as the Secretary and a Member at Large to the Conference Board of SPS [2010-2011], as a member of the Awards Board of SPS [2015-2017], as the Chair of Japan Chapter of SPS [2010-2011], and a member of IEEE Fellow Committee [2018-2020]. He was a Technical Program Chair for ICASSP2012. He has contributed to 17 chapters of books and is the inventor of 217 registered patents with more pending applications in the field of signal processing in Japan and overseas. He received 19 awards such as the 2002 IEICE Best Paper Award, the 2006 and 2018 IEICE Achievement Award, and the 2013 Ichimura Industry Award. He has delivered 160 invited talks in 85 cities of 29 countries. He is Fellow of IEEE and IEICE, a Distinguished Industry Speaker for IEEE SPS [2020-2021], a Renowned Distinguished Speaker (The Rock Star) for IEEE CTS (Consumer Technology Society) (Class of 2020) and was a Distinguished Lecturer for IEEE SPS [2014-2015] and for IEEE CTS [2017-2018].

Alessandro Tonacci is a Biomedical Engineer, PhD in Automation, Robotics and Bioengineering, currently Researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council of Italy in Pisa. He is member of the Institute's group of Informative Systems and Telematic Infrastructure, which is in charge for developing software and hardware tools for healthcare and well-being. Throughout the years, he has been active in conducting research works on the use of wearable tools, and related signal processing, for monitoring health and well-being conditions of several cohorts of people, from very young patients with neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders (i.e., autism, anorexia nervosa) to old individuals with neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., dementia) and related prodromal stages (e.g., Mild Cognitive Impairment). More recently, he has achieved a Second Level Master on Big Data and Machine Learning in Biomedical Research from the University of Padua. He is co-author of more than 130 research products, with H-index 23, according to SCOPUS, and was listed among the Elsevier's Top 2% World Research Scientists (Single Year) in 2022. For the IEEE CTSoc, he served as a TPC Member for various conferences, including ICCE-Berlin, where in 2022 he served as TPC (co-)Chair, and ZINC.

Bernard Fong received his BSc degree in electronics from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and PhD degree in health information systems from the University of New South Wales in 1993 and 2005, respectively. He is currently with Providence University and has previously served as a lecturer with University of London, senior lecturer with Auckland University of Technology, associate professor with Hong Kong Polytechnic University and became a chair professor with Guangdong University of Technology in 2014. He has also worked as a technical manager for Hewlett-Packard and Lucent Technologies. He is currently the managing editor of the IEEE Smart Cities Newsletter and an academic editor of PLOS ONE. He has published over 140 articles and two United States patents in the areas of smart vehicles, vehicular communications, assistive healthcare and medical technology. He serves as the chair for the Automotive CE Applications Technical Committee under the IEEE Consumer Technology Society and the System Biology and Biomedical Systems Technical Committee under the IEEE Systems Council.

Lucia Billeci received her M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering and Ph.D. degree in Automation, Robotics and Bioengineering from University of Pisa, Italy, in 2004 and 2007 respectively. She is currently a Researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-IFC) in Pisa. She has recently joined the international Master's program in "eXplainable Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Management". In 2009 she was Visiting Researcher at The Maastricht Brain Imaging Centre, University of Maastricht, The Netherlands, and in 2010 at the King's College Hospital, London, UK.Her research activity focuses on the development of biomedical signal and image processing techniques. She is also interested in the application of wearable solutions for non-invasive monitoring of physiological and pathological situations. Moreover, she is interested in the application of machine learning techniques in personalized medicine. She has co-authored more than 90 scientific papers (h-index: 24, Scopus). She is part of the Editorial Board of Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, Frontiers in Psychology, BMC Neurology and PLOS ONE and she has been Reviewer of more than 40 international journals. The awards obtained by Dr. Billeci during her career include the first prize at the Computer in Cardiology /PhysioNet Challenge 2013 "Noninvasive Fetal ECG". She is member of IEEE and affiliated with the IEEE Young Professionals Group.

Max Lu is a Special Project Lead for Bloomberg's New Economy Forum, a platform that aims to build a more responsible future by enabling global leaders from East and West to forge common ground. As a Technology Fellow at CCLP, he works closely with director Geoffrey Cowan on issues at the intersection of technology, media, and the society. Max recently founded the Innovation Lab and served as Director of Academic Partnerships and Research at the Los Angeles Times, where he also worked as a consultant to the Executive Editor, Norman Pearlstine, on emerging technologies. Prior to joining the L.A. Times, Max co-founded the global innovation network MannLab with Prof. Steve Mann, who is commonly known as the "Father of Wearable Computing," to research and commercialize innovations in the fields of Wearables, Natural User Interface, and Humanistic Intelligence. At MannLab, Max was responsible all operations including the expansion to China. Through his effort, MannLab has been chosen by Shenzhen Investment Bureau as one of the top 10 most important initiatives of 2018. Born and raised in China, Max moved to Canada when he was 18. He earned his Bachelor and Master degree from the University of Toronto.

Osamu Watanabe received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Tokyo Metropolitan University in 1999, 2001, and 2004, respectively. In 2004, He joined the faculty of Takushoku University as a research associate in electronics and computer systems. Since 2021, He has been a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Computer Systems. He is a member of IEEE, ITE, and an Associate Editor for The Journal of ITE. He is also an expert of ISO/IEC/JTC1/SG29/WG1 committee "Joint Photographic Experts Group" (JPEG), where he currently serves as co-chair of ICQ (Image Coding and Quality) subgroup. His areas of research interest are image processing, image coding, and signal processing.

Rajeev Ranjan, affiliated as an associate technical fellow at Boeing, has been engaged in a wide variety of research projects in power and analog electronics, such as power supplies, displays, and cabin systems for airworthy applications. Prior to Boeing, he had a long career at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) as a research scientist. His team at ISRO designed and developed India's first electric ion thruster for satellite applications. He also assisted ISRO in the development of standard power supplies in order to meet the maximum number of satellite power requirements. He also led the team in developing an autonomous battery charger for geostationary satellites, where charging has been done manually until now. He served as the secretary and a member of the Consumer Power and Energy Technical Committee, IEEE Consumer Technology Society (IEEE CTSoc) [2021-Present], and as a member and reviewer for the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) [2020-Present]. He has contributed to seven chapters of Boeing Design Practices and is the inventor of one registered patent with three pending applications in the fields of power electronics and analog circuit design. He has more than eight technical publications in IEEE and other journals.

Stanley Glenn Brucal is a Professional Electronics Engineer with more than 19 years of experience in the academe, with specialization in Analog Electronics Design and Research Methods. Also an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE), with Masters degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, he had numerous research presentations and paper publications, both local and international, in the emerging fields of biomedical devices, mobile health, and speech recognition and processing. Currently, he is the Registrar of NU-Asia Pacific College (APC). Prior to this promotion, he was the Program Director for their Electronics Engineering, and later on was appointed as the Executive Director for the APC - School of Engineering.
