IVY HILLS EYECARE - Key Persons

Dr. Brian VanDerPloeg is the managing doctor of Dr. VanDerPloeg & Associates. He moved to Cincinnati in July of 2010 when he acquired the Eastgate Mall doctor's office inside LensCrafters. Before Cincinnati, Dr. VanDerPloeg ran an office in south Louisville. Dr. VanDerPloeg grew up in Naples, Florida. He moved to London, Kentucky in 1996 during high school where he was a 1997 Governor's Scholar. With magna cum laude honors, he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychobiology and Biology from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. He graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Optometry where he earned his Doctorate degree in Optometry in 2006. Dr. VanDerPloeg sees and manages patients with a large range of eye diseases and conditions, including dry eye, allergies, red eyes and cataracts. He specializes in fitting soft contact lenses, including patients with astigmatism and multifocal needs. He sees patients from age 5 to 105. Dr. VanDerPloeg now resides in Milford, OH, where he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys.
