LONG ISLAND SOLAR ROADMAP

The Nature Conservancy's mission is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. We are dedicated to helping protect New York State's biodiversity while still advancing statewide energy development and policy goals. We developed a mapping system called the Biodiversity and Wind Siting Mapping Tool to help guide wind development away from important ecological resources, such as sensitive habitats, large forest blocks, and migration routes.
