Bridie Nicholson is an APA Titled Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist in Brisbane. Bridie has worked as a physiotherapist in both Toronto and Brisbane. She was the Head Physiotherapist for the Brisbane Roar Women's A-League team, she works with para-athletes within the UQ ParaSTART program and she runs all physiotherapy for Villanova college contact sports. She has treated athletes from a wide range of sports; from the NHL and Canadian Basketball team to elite boxers, rugby players and para-swimmers. In saying that, she treats everyone; not just people involved in sport. Bridie will always make you the centre of your care. She takes the time to listen to your specific needs and develops a treatment plan in collaboration with you- it is your body and your life! Bridie has a special interest in shoulder pain and post-op return to sport rehab. Bridie is also an Anatomy Tutor and Clinical Educator of final year physiotherapy students at The University of Queensland. Outside of the physiotherapy life, Bridie spends her weekends at the beach or going on hikes… and she loves a good whisky.

Matt Andrews

Matt is a titled APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist. Since graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2012, Matt has worked in private practice seeing a wide variety of injuries and conditions. In 2023, he completed his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland. In addition, he has completed further training in running assessment, shoulder assessments and rehabilitation, Pilates and dry needling/western acupuncture. Matt enjoys working with sporting injuries, lower limb injuries and helping patients through their post-operative rehabilitation. As a football player for 25 years, he has suffered numerous injuries over the course of his playing career so understands what is needed to help you get back on the field. Matt has worked with several football teams including The Gap FC Senior Women's team and Lions FC Senior Men and Women's teams in the NPL. He also is committed to helping the next generation of physiotherapists by tutoring students at Griffith University and supervising final year students during their practical placements.

Nicole has always had a passion for the technical aspect of Pilates and its benefits for improving strength. You can expect a lot of fun and to work on perfecting your technique in Nicole's classes. She wants everyone to enjoy her classes as much as she loves instructing them! Nicole's passion for Pilates began when the family moved from Perth, W.A., to Brisbane. When not sharing her passion for Pilates with others, she likes to spend time with her family, wrangling their 2 Australian Shepherds and looking after their very pampered rag doll cat.

She graduated from the University of Queensland, where she has also recently completed her Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Rebecca is also a former dancer, previously dancing with the Queensland Dance School of Excellence and graduated with a Diploma in Dance in 2002. She also has a Diploma in French and is a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor. Her clinical pilates training gives Rebecca a vast skill set to help her expertly manage her patients. Through her career, she has had the opportunity to work with many amateur and elite dancers and sports persons including AIS Diving and the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team.

Ruth graduated from the University of Queensland with a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies in 2021. Originally from Perth, Western Australia, her background is in biological anthropology where she has traveled all over the world studying skeletons in the USA, the Philippines and Somaliland. After a 2-year hiatus living in London and playing AFL, she located to Brisbane to study physiotherapy. Ruth is currently a physiotherapist for the Brisbane Lions Academy and trainer with the Brisbane Lions AFL, VFL and AFLW teams. Outside of work, Ruth spends her spare time running, swimming, and scouting for the best brunch and coffee in Brisbane.

Seb Monteverde

She has vast experience with elite sporting teams and athlete as well as in private practice with youth development, rehabilitation and general population clientele. Tiernan has specialised experience in female athletes at youth, state and national levels across multiple sports for performance programming and injury prevention/prescription. Her experience in elite sport ensures a professional standard of programming and coaching is delivered with every session. Outside of work Tiernan enjoys spending time with her dogs, kicking a footy around and a good cup of tea!

Will Thwaite

Will Thwaite is a titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist in Brisbane. He a former professional volleyball player, Australian representative and Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. His personal experience with elite level sport environments has provided Will with unique insight into the many different demands placed on the body during exercise and movement. This experience also gives will a unique perspective for sports physiotherapy. Will Thwaite has an expansive understanding of biomechanics and the different pressures exerted on the body during activity, exercise and sport. Not only does this help Will understand your sport and what is required, but also helps to breakdown everyday movements in order to devise specific rehabilitation plans for any injury. He has a great eye for figuring out what might have contributed to your injury or pain. Will has continued to develop and refine his clinical evaluation skills by working in private practice and with providing quality physiotherapy services to his clients across his career. Will Thwaite is also currently working with the University of Queensland as a Clinical Educator in the Sports Masters program, educating and mentoring physiotherapists in the titling process. Outside of work, Will still has an interest in keeping active and healthy. You will often find Will running by the river, swimming, or using the gym.
