Alison is a Partner in the Property Department dealing with both residential properties for private individuals and also for property developers in acquiring sites for development, site set up and plots sales.
Acting for many high-net worth individuals, Alison deals with country houses, estates which encompass both residential and agricultural aspects and high value London properties.
Alison is originally from Suffolk, but now lives in Godalming, following periods living in London and Singapore, where she worked for a local law firm dealing with a range of matters, including criminal law and libel.
She originally worked in the banking industry before deciding to move into law. She is now a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
Outside work, she enjoys silver smithing, sailing her boat and driving her Land Rover.
Belinda is a partner in the Private Client Department and has over 30 years' legal experience in all areas of wills, powers of attorney, tax planning, probate and trusts. She is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly.
She also deals with trustee work for a number of charities that Marshalls administers and has also been called on to give evidence at the Coroners Court in connection with one of her cases.
Born and bred in Surrey, she studied Modern Languages at Oxford University and now lives in Chiddingfold where she is a Trustee of the Chiddingfold Archive. She loves gardening, cycling, horse riding and keeping chickens.
Chris works in the Company Commercial department at Marshalls, dealing in particular with company mergers, acquisitions and disposals. He also deals with all types employment law matters, both for employers and employees.
Originally from Lancashire, but now living in Hampshire, Chris studied engineering and Mechatronics at the University of Leeds before starting his own business in music and music education.
Having decided to qualify as a solicitor, he initially worked at Marshalls as a trainee solicitor, qualifying in 2017.
He still loves music, particularly playing the guitar, and motorbikes.
Jennifer joined Marshalls in 2020 having qualified in 2018 following a Law degree at Swansea University and an LPC and Master's degree at the University of Law in Guildford. She works in the Residential Property Department.
She deals with all types of residential transactions - sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.
Her biggest transaction to date was acting on a £6,000,000.00 sale which involved an agricultural property with an Overage Agreement
Other than studying in Swansea, Jennifer has always lived in Surrey and currently lives in Godalming.
She is currently training to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and enjoys running, yoga and horse riding.
Kieran studied Law at university and following his two-year training contract with Marshalls qualified in 2021 working in the Commercial Property Department and the Company Commercial Department dealing with sales, purchases, leases and lease renewals on commercial properties of all kinds. He also deals with corporate transactions including share sales drafting constitutional documents for companies.
His most memorable clients to date have been a male fertility company and an animation studio.
Kieran grew up in Canterbury and now lives in Woking with his wife and dog. One of the sportier members of staff, he loves football (supporting Liverpool and playing for a local Woking team) and golf.
Nathan is a partner in the Property department and deals with both residential and commercial transactions for a wide range of clients.
His works spans everything from studio flats in London to complex country estates often with commercial, residential and agricultural elements.
Originally from Lancashire, Nathan studied at Liverpool University and then moved to Surrey to train at Marshalls, qualifying in 2008.
He now lives on the Surrey/Hampshire border and in his spare time plays 5-a-side football and enjoys mountain biking, playing the guitar and coaching his son's rugby team at Petersfield RFC.
Rhoddy is a Senior Associate in the Private Client department dealing with probate, trusts, wills, tax and succession planning.
He studied Law with French at Birmingham University and the Universite de Limoges, qualifying in 1996.
Despite his name, Rhoddy is actually from Hampshire and now lives in Godalming with his family. Outside of work, he enjoys walking and natural history.
Originally from Hove, Sarah now lives in Godalming and has worked at Marshalls since 2020. Her 30+ year career has been spent dealing with all aspects of residential property conveyancing, particularly in Surrey, Sussex and London.
Sarah has a great deal of experience in dealing with high value properties.
When not at work, she enjoys sailing, swimming and Pilates.
Stephen specialises in Land Development, predominantly acting for developers of residential properties in acquiring land, dealing with planning agreements, infrastructure agreements, overage matters and joint venture agreements with Housing Associations.
He also deals with the site set up, ready for the individual plot sales, assisted by his team.
Originally from Suffolk, Stephen qualified in 2000 having studied Land Management at the University of Reading. He joined Marshalls in 2022 having spent 10 years at a top 100 solicitors firm where he was the Head of the Land Development team.
Now living in Witley, just outside Godalming, he enjoys golf and football; supporting Ipswich Town and managing his son's youth football team
