Mark Wells

Mark is a Facade Project Manager on the MAF Associates technical team, a crucial role as we work to inspect buildings right across the UK, ensuring they are safe and that all facade materials are compliant and fit for purpose. After starting his career with Coventry Glass, then a subsidiary of Royal Doulton, Mark worked his way up the ladder, spending nine years in the Middle East. Projects he has worked on include the Abu Dhabi F1 Circuit, the new Doha Airport and the Walkie Talkie skyscraper in the City of London.

Mike Fox

Mike Fox With more than 30 years' in the industrial roofing and cladding sector, Mike is one of the UK's most experienced and highly qualified specialist consultants in fire safety…. With more than 30 years' in the industrial roofing and cladding sector, Mike is one of the UK's most experienced and highly qualified specialist consultants in fire safety. He has worked with insurers, major building material manufacturers, architects, engineers and surveyors. Mike is one of the most highly accredited experts in the fire industry, with so many letters after his name that we don't have space to list them all. They include memberships, qualifications, certifications or affiliations for the Fire Protection Association, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Institute of Roofing, Institute of Fire Engineers, and the Institute of Fire Protection Officers, among others. Mike's knowledge and professionalism have made him the first choice fire safety consultant for many of the major building material manufacturers in Europe. He has unrivaled knowledge of Building Regulations and current government best practices relating to fire safety and prevention, so he can ensure buildings are fully compliant with statutory duties under the Regulatory Reform Order and the Fire Safety Act 2021.

Nicola O'Sullivan

Nicola is our Planning Coordinator. She manages every client project from order confirmation through to final inspection day. Prior to joining MAF Associates, Nicola worked as a Footwear Merchandiser for 16 years for a UK-based importer of ladies and children's footwear, where she oversaw production planning for 12 high street retailers.

Nicole Weatherley

Nicole is our Business Manager. Having previously worked as a Property Manager, Nicole's current role extends across both our office-based and remote teams, ensuring that all reports are compiled correctly and delivered to the client in a timely manner. Nicole works very closely with our Fire Risk Assessors, Chartered Engineers and Fire Engineers to validate all reports, confirming that they meet both legal guidelines and the expectations laid out in the client brief. She is also a key point of liaison between clients and the mobile team, dealing with any queries or issues that may arise.

Richard Morris

  • Facade Engineer
Richard is a Facade Engineer and Surveyor. Previously, he was employed as a Senior Project Manager with a leading window company, overseeing all project operations. He was also employed as a Project Manager by Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd, responsible for the facade installation on two residential towers and a commercial building on the £1.5 billion Southbank Place project in London. Richard holds an MSc (Hons) in Architectural Engineering: Facade Engineering from the University of Bath and a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton. He also holds a black CSCS managers card, a CPCS Appointed Persons card, and an IPAF card.

Tom Whittaker

Tom is a Chartered Engineer, a key role when it comes to complying with the guidelines laid down in the Fire Safety Act 2021. With 20 years' experience in the industry, a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Process Safety & Loss Prevention, as well as being a full member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, Tom is an ideal addition to the expanding MAF Associates team. A key part of Tom's brief is to ensure that MAF Associates can deliver a fully comprehensive range of fire assessment, inspection and engineering services, working closely with colleagues to advise on facade inspections, identify potential defects and implement effective solutions.
