FQHC TELEHEALTH CONSORTIUM

Founded in March 2020, the FQHC Telehealth Consortium was established to support health centers as they pivoted to telehealth services, provided necessary COVID-19 care, and sought to remain financially sustainable. The challenge now is to build a national model designed to achieve sustainable, patient-centered, and equitable telehealth practices at health centers... Approximately one in eight Massachusetts residents receive care at Federally Qualified Health Centers, or FQHCs. Located throughout the Commonwealth, FQHCs serve communities that are disproportionately low-income, non‑English speaking, and home to people of color... Founded in March 2020 by Community Care Cooperative and the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, the Consortium helps health centers across Massachusetts pivot to sustainable models of telehealth, integrate them into their primary and behavioral care practices, and ensure financial viability.
