INVESTIGO - Key Persons

Lucy Turner

Job Titles:
  • Head of Service Delivery
Lucy joined us in July 2022 to manage all those core operational activities that allow us to function effectively from one day to the next, including associate escalation and any challenges that come up. With over 15 years' experience in recruitment and 12 years in tech and business change, Lucy's taken on resourcing projects of every size for businesses of every kind. Whether it's implementing and delivering direct sourcing programmes for big tech brands or global oil and gas businesses, implementing offshore resource and delivery models for UK businesses or delivering literally hundreds of roles for large banks across business change, no hurdle is too high. The same applies to Lucy's life outside work. A big lover of horses, she first climbed into the saddle at the age of three and has kept on galloping ever since.

Matt Smith

Job Titles:
  • Managing Director - Technology, Transformation and CIO Practice
  • Managing Director - Technology, Transformation and CIO Practice the in Group
Matt joined The IN Group in March 2021 to lead business development across Investigo, InX, Definia and Caraffi. He immediately made a massive difference to the group by working with our senior leadership team to maximise returns from our existing client relationships and drive our expansion into new markets. In October 2023, he took on a role leading the next phase of growth for our technology, transformation and CIO business. With 25 years in predominantly technology recruitment, he's a hugely respected figure in the tech industry with a passion for connecting brilliant people. We've got a pretty ambitious business strategy, and to deliver a strategy like that, you need a person like Matt - someone with boundless positivity and energy who thrives on making things happen. He's also a bit of a dab hand with a ladle and chopping board, having appeared on a cooking show on Vietnamese TV. Be sure to give him a hearty xin chào whenever you see him!

Nicola Wright

Job Titles:
  • Contracts Manager
Nicola joined us in September 2022 with nearly two decades in the recruitment industry under her belt, bringing valuable expertise in contracts, compliance, financial information, data and virtually anything else you can think of. That makes her one of the first people to approach with even the most random request, an invaluable quality in the five major programmes and countless smaller ones she's helped to deliver. With a delightfully cheeky sense of humour, Nicola's a truly fascinating individual who finds other humans fascinating, too. In fact, she's currently working on improving her hypnosis skills. Her analytical skills aren't bad, either; she has a Forensic Science and Criminal Justice Diploma (no wonder she's so good at finding things out) as well as being a keen lover of Dungeons & Dragons, RPG, horror and LEGO games on the PlayStation.

Rachael Hays

Job Titles:
  • Transformation and Change Director
Although she's only been with Definia since January 2023, Rachael's already worked on dozens of projects and is the go-to person for portfolio, programme, project and change management. Building up her skills over 23 years in FMCG, media, professional services and education, Rachael's an adaptable, strategic leader who knows how to connect with a person at their core. With that rare ability to bring direction and vision to digital transformation, change management and product development, Rachael has a proven track record of implementing processes, products and initiatives that make businesses work better. An analytical thinker, Rachael has a knack for creative problem-solving and coming up with great ideas. Maybe it's unsurprising that she's also taking a degree in psychology. Like she wasn't busy enough!

Will Jones

Job Titles:
  • Director
  • Director of Definia
Joining us in 2021, Will leads Definia's strategic vision, operational excellence and client engagement. With a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving landscape of technology and transformation, Will's a bit of a visionary when it comes to workforce solutions. He's spent almost 20 years coming up with innovative talent and workforce strategies to drive organisational change, digital transformation and cost optimisation programmes. In particular, he excels in implementing strategies that align outcomes with business objectives, in a way that ensures sustainable growth. Will's a firm believer that our success is based on our clients' success, and it's that customer centricity that defines his approach to change management. He's also keen to please in a culinary sense, being a trained chef who used to work in Michelin starred restaurants. Considering he's maybe the tallest person at The IN Group, you can see where the breadth of his vision comes from.
