TIGNISH INITIATIVES

Tignish Initiatives is a non-profit community economic development corporation with a volunteer board made up of nine individuals from Tignish and surrounding areas including one representative from Tignish Community Council. We are a very diversified group of people with backgrounds from Fishing, Farming, Education, Recreation, Financial and Construction Industry. We have lots of animated discussion and differences of opinion but the one thing we all have in common is the pride we have in our community and the will to see it be as prosperous and beautiful as it can be... Tignish Initiatives was incorporated in 1993 as a community development arm of the Tignish Village Council as a result of a need to stimulate growth and foster development in our community...
