ASC - Key Persons

Andy Teague

Job Titles:
  • Secretary
Andy's love of sailing started in Treaddur Bay, Anglesey, with his father sailing Mirror dinghies. He crewed GP 14's throughout the 80's and 90's which took him all over the UK, Ireland, and to New Jersey, USA, for a world championships. He left Treaddur Bay and came to Abersoch in the last 90's where he has sailed Squibs, RS200s, RS400s, Mirrors and Lasers. Although he does not like to mention it, his biggest sailing achievement came in 2008 when he sailed across the Atlantic Ocean from Gran Canaria to St Lucia as part of the ARC and finished 2nd overall. In Andy's own words, "I love seeing people enjoy sailing. It has been an adventure for me and I have met the most amazing people along the way and have some great stories to tell, some of which the family hear time and time again. Sailing is a sport families can do together and have great fun and make lots of memories together so for me Abersoch Sailing Club is the best family holiday you can have."
