ROGGE HOTEL COMPANY

THE FOUR-story brick Rogge Hotel was opened on June 4, 1900. The Times Recorder described the event as follows: "The plans and specifications have been the ideas of Mr. Rogge, assisted by William Kimmell, superintendent of construction, and are the results of experience and much consideration... We support activities outside of our three areas of main focus when they are deemed vital to community betterment and contribute to achieving the Foundation's goals... The Foundation views its primary function as that of a catalyst, seeking to be responsive to programs that are innovative, yet strive to create permanent solutions to community needs.
