G.R.I.T.S is an acronym meaning Girls Raised in the South and is a catering company started by two single mothers who both have an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for food and love to fellowship. Chef Jo AKA (Chef Babe) on social media graduated from Central Piedmont's Culinary arts school in 2014 with a dream of owning and operating her own catering and food truck business. While working an event she was introduced to Kea, a spunky World traveled veteran who fell in love with the taste of Chef Jo's food, presentation, and ambition. That was the beginning of a sisterhood that has turned into a partnership. Chef Jo and Kea want to give back to the community by serving healthy soul food fused with taste of the Caribbean, Creole, African, and Spanish cuisines. Kea worked several years overseas and has ate foods from all over the world. With her knowledge of different cuisines and Chef Jo's culinary training makes this a great partnership.
