Alex is an advisor to multiple banks, a board director at several portfolio companies, and currently leads our international presence in Europe.
Before Point72 Ventures, Alex launched and managed the Barclays Accelerator with Techstars in New York City.

Ann S. Matthews is the Associate General Counsel for Private Equity and Strategic Investments at Point72. In this role, she supports Point72 Ventures as well as other areas of the Firm in connection with a wide variety of strategic transactions. She leads legal negotiations for new Point72 Ventures investments and provides advice and counsel in connection with ongoing matters across the Point72 Ventures portfolio.
Prior to joining Point72, Ann was an in-house counsel at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Previously, she was an Associate at Wiggin and Dana, LLP, focused on mergers and acquisitions, and Shearman and Sterling LLP, focused on capital markets.

Caitlin Lohrenz is on the Investment Team at Point72 Ventures. In her role, she works on Enterprise and AI (Artificial Intelligence) businesses with a focus on data and infrastructure software.
Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Caitlin was an investment banking associate in the Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) group at Goldman Sachs where she focused on advising public and private software companies on M&A, debt, and equity financing. Prior to that, she worked as a data engineer at Tresata, an enterprise software startup.
Prior to joining Point72 Ventures, Cameron was on the Corporate Development team at Etsy where he was responsible for M&A, minority investments and strategic partnerships. Before Etsy, he was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs' Tech, Media, and Telecom Group.

Chris Jackson is the Chief Operating Officer for Point72 Private Investments, the holding company of Point72 Ventures. He is focused on improving the group's financial and operational infrastructure, which includes financial and strategic planning, valuations, reporting, and internal policies and procedures.
Prior to his role with Point72 Private Investments, Chris was the Executive Officer for Point72's Market Intelligence and Point72 Ventures teams for two years. Prior to that, he was an Executive Officer for the Firm's Long/Short Equities business and the Head of Finance Analytics for Point72.
Earlier in his career, Chris was a manager at Ernst & Young Consulting and worked on their Credit Risk and Capital Management team. There, he focused on helping bulge bracket investment banks navigate post-financial crisis regulatory reform.

Daniel Gwak is the Managing Partner of Point72 Private Investments, the institutional private investing business of Point72 Asset Management. He oversees Point72 Ventures' Defense Tech and Growth investment team s.
Before joining Point72, Dan was a Partner on the Investment Team at In-Q-Tel, the strategic investment firm of the CIA and U.S. Intelligence Community. At In-Q-Tel, Dan focused on enterprise analytics and infrastructure companies whose technologies aided the mission of the U.S. intelligence community.
Previously, Dan was an investment banking analyst in the M&A group at Credit Suisse, a private equity associate at The Carlyle Group, and a fireteam leader in the United States Marine Corps, where he was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon and Purple Heart for actions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

I started my career as a non-technical person in a technical place.
I was a private equity guy. I would fall asleep reading books on neural networks so that I'd be prepared for the next day's water-cooler conversation. It helped me get to the right questions to ask my colleagues.
Dave Matter is an Advisor to Point72 Ventures, supporting certain investment activities through scouting, diligence and additional value creation. He represents Point72 as a board member for certain portfolio companies including Abound, Productfy and LISNR and was previously an Operating Partner on the Point72 Ventures team, adding to his extensive experience in the financial services technology space.
Prior to his role at Point72 Ventures, Dave was the Chief Product Officer at Marqeta, a global payment card issuing platform, where he helped lead the product and business as it grew into a multi-billion-dollar company, serving some of the best brands in the world. Previously, Dave held product and technology leadership roles in investments and mortgages with Citadel Investment Group, Quicken Loans, and digital banking pioneer ING Direct.

Eddie Kang leads growth-stage investment activities at Point72 Ventures.
Before joining Point72 Ventures, Eddie led investments at Tola Capital, Next47, and Telescope Partners. He's proud to have partnered with VergeSense, Simpplr, Glia, Bizzabo, 15Five, Topbox (acquired), and Brandfolder (acquired), among others.
Previously, Eddie advised on M&A, IPOs, and debt offerings in the Technology Investment Banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He began his career in the military, serving as an intelligence officer in Korea and Afghanistan. Eddie serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors of the West Point Association of Graduates.
Elizaveta is on the Investment Team at Point72 Ventures, focused on fintech investments.
Prior to joining Point72, Elizaveta was an investor at Stripes, where she focused on high growth fintech companies, as well as software companies building solutions for the "real economy" verticals, which is a category she is particularly passionate about, such as supply chain, manufacturing, hospitality, amongst others.
Prior to Stripes, Elizaveta was an investor at Centana Growth Partners, a New York-based fintech growth equity firm, which she joined nearly at inception and was involved in every aspect of the firm's day-to-day activities, including deal sourcing and execution, portfolio management, network and brand building, and operations. Elizaveta started her career as an investment banker at Houlihan Lokey's TMT group in San Francisco, covering enterprise software.
The "real economy" verticals have ways to go before completing their digital transformation journey, and vertical-specific software with embedded fintech infrastructure has a huge advantage in driving the next wave of change for core parts of our economy.

I've been lucky enough to wear many hats at Point72.
I initially spent 5 years on the fintech team, where I mainly focused on consumer and emerging markets investments. That's where I developed my love for consumer-facing businesses. Studying consumer businesses allows me to do things that I love, like diving into data and thinking critically about human psychology and behavior.
