Brandon graduated the program at Recovery Point in Bluefield on January 3, 2017. He interviewed for a job as Facilities Coordinator with the organization prior to completion. Brandon was offered and accepted the job which started the following Monday. He worked part-time as Facilities Coordinator and part-time as a Program Monitor until being moved into a full-time position. From there, he was promoted to Community Engagement Specialist where he had the chance to work under the previous Program Director and learned how the business side of Recovery Point works.
Brandon attended countless meetings and was introduced to many partners that he now gets to work with daily in his current role. Brandon's goal was always to become a Program Director, but little did he know the opportunity would present itself so soon. After working with the organization for 3 years, he was named Program Director in Bluefield. Now Brandon gets the opportunity to supervise the Facility that saved his life. "Being able to make a difference in Mercer County means the world to me," says Brandon.

Ray graduated from Morehead Inspiration Center (MIC) in Morehead, Kentucky in November 2009; Recovery Point and Morehead Inspiration Center both follow the same peer to peer recovery model. He has over ten years of sobriety. Ray interviewed for a part-time Program Monitor position in January 2011 when the organization was founded as, "The Healing Place of Huntington." We later changed the facility name to "Recovery Point West Virginia" and used the same mission of helping people recover from substance use disorder. Ray worked as a part-time Program Monitor and was later hired as a full-time Monitor on third shift. He worked as a third shift Monitor for three years before the opportunity arose for an advancement in his career.
Due to organizational growth, the organization needed to hire a Phase II Coordinator and because of Ray's dedication and commitment to his job, he was offered the position. He then worked for three years in this role, before accepting the job as Program Director at Recovery Point West Virginia in October 2017. Ray says, "I thank God every day that He has given me an opportunity to help others who suffer from this insidious disease of addiction. I want to say to everyone that "Recovery Is Possible."
