GATEWAY INTO THE COMMUNITY

Gateway into the Community was established in 1998 to support people who have a learning disability and enable them to access social, leisure and learning opportunities within their local and wider community. We support more than 200 people over the year and over 120 people attend various groups and activities every week. We believe that everyone should feel a part of their community and we support our members to feel a real sense of belonging within their local community... A huge thank you to Newcastle Building Society who provided a grant to Gateway into the Community to host a Platinum Jubilee Celebration. We created a traditional British Tea Party which brought together over 100 members of Gateway
