Anthony Gale

Anthony started in the construction industry in 2015 after 10 years managing Health clubs in London. Over 5 years at Tarmac he developed his knowledge within the building materials sector gaining experience as an Internal Sales Manager and moving on to becoming an External Sales Manager looking after areas including the Home Counties, Southeast and London across aggregates and mostly ready-mix concrete. After joining Hanson as Territory Sales Manager, he gained experience managing the sales for the flagship concrete plant at Kings Cross, managing large scale RC frame projects across all sectors to infrastructure and rail projects. Anthony also managed key customers on HS2 and Thames Tideway with experience of large scale continuous concrete pours up to 2,000m3. In July 2022, Anthony joined us here at Express Concrete as Commercial Manager to assist with the growth and development of the business.

Chris Casey

Chris has worked in the ready mixed concrete industry since 1979. He began his career with Willment Concrete as a plant operative and after a few years was transferred onto the sales side of the business. Following the acquisition by Pioneer Concrete in 1992 he was promoted to Area Sales Manager responsible for the busy South London market. He then joined London Concrete in 1999 as Group Sales Manager. As the company expanded his area of responsibility increased and he was then made Sales Director. In 2015 he left London Concrete to form Express Concrete with the Cappagh Group. With his vast experience in the concrete market Chris was appointed Managing Director.

Derek Casey

Derek Casey has spent his career in the ready mixed concrete market in London. In 1992 he was Managing Director of Pioneer Concrete who were a major supplier in London. In 1997 he formed London Concrete, which within 10 years had developed into 12 concrete plants and just under 100 mixer trucks supplying over 1 million m3 per year. Under his guidance they supplied major contracts in London including The Shard, the GLA new office, Terminal 2 at Heathrow, various major contracts on the Cross Rail project and also sole supplier for the 2012 Olympic Games. Following the merger of Holcim and Lafarge Derek retired early to consider other options, he then joined the partnership with the Cappagh Group, alongside his brother Chris.

Gary Power

Gary has spent his career in the ready mixed concrete industry. He first worked for Marcon Concrete as a plant operative and following the acquisition by Tarmac in the late 1980's he was promoted to Manager of the Central Shipping Office. In 1998 he joined London Concrete as Manager of their Bow concrete plant to expand their business in the City and London market. Under his leadership this plant quickly developed into their highest production unit in the UK. Gary joined us in April 2017 and was appointed Transport and Production Director. Gary has a vast experience in all plant related matters and managing large vehicle fleets. He also has a certificate of professional competence.

Shaun Roche

Shaun began his career in the ready mixed concrete industry in 1982 with Willment Concrete on the Technical side of the business. Following the acquisition of Willment Concrete by Pioneer in 1992, he was promoted to Technical Manager for London in 1994. He successfully carried out this role and in 1997 he was offered the opportunity to join London Concrete. He became an integral part of the development and growth of the business over the next 20 years. Shaun Joined us at Express Concrete in April 2017 as Technical Director. He brings to us a wealth of technical knowledge and experience and is very highly regarded in the industry technical circles.

Tom Woolston

Following completion of his degree at Loughborough University, Tom joined the construction industry, first starting as an Estimating Manager for a fit out & refurb contractor. He later gained experience with the same company undertaking a project management role, overseeing projects and ensuring they completed on time and within budgets. In 2012, he joined London Concrete as an Internal Sales Representative where he developed his product knowledge and customer sales. A year later he was promoted to Area Sales Manager for North & West London. During his time in this role he achieved record production volumes for both his concrete plants and was involved in major developments such as the Wembley regeneration, Beaufort Park, Millbrook Park and Old Oak Common. This experience has greatly helped him to fully understand the issues in supplying large volumes of concrete into the congested London market and meeting customers high expectations. Tom joined Express Concrete in August 2019 as Head of Commercial Development. Following 3 years helping the business expand its customer base and develop a strong market presence, in July 2022, Tom was promoted to Commercial Director
