Having brought up a family I was then looking to make a contribution to Fortuna and so have brought my planning skills to bear on the financial aspects of the business.

I've had three related careers - journalism,corporate communications and PR consultancy. working across politics, financial services and asset management. In doing so I've advised everyone from c-suite level executives to junior managers on their communication requirements with a never-ending focus of having the media and the end customer in mind.

JONATHAN BOYD

Responsible for pr, communications and editorial services on behalf of clients. Jonathan brings over 20 years of B2B publishing experience delivering content across digital, print and events platforms in the asset management industry across the UK and Europe, with a further 5 years of corporate and public affairs editorial experience across Japan, Australia, and Canada. Personal background includes living, studying, working in nine countries and bilingualism (English/Swedish). Currently pursuing IMC II and the IAM Advanced Rider motorcycle course, while building a collection of fly fishing rods.

MONICA VOLPIN

I'm a Chilean national who came to the UK through marriage to a businessman. Having left behind a career in marketing I've had been looking for a fulfilling role and found a part time one with Fortuna and its need for someone to help coordinate complex processes for communicating between a client and their ‘publics' - which is at the heart of public relations.

SAM SHELTON

Sam is a media relations specialist with extensive experience in asset management/financial services. He has a proven track record of generating media coverage for clients in both the retail and institutional space in asset management trade magazines and national media such as The Financial Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, CNBC, and The New York Times to name a few. Over the last seven years, Sam has helped boutique asset managers and more significant players enhance their reputation in the UK, the US and other parts of Europe. Sam holds the CIPR Advanced Certificate in Public Relations and the CFA Investment Foundations Certificate. He is also a professional video editor, producing engaging video content for investment trade publications, key industry organisations and Fortuna's asset management clients. Outside of PR/Video/Asset Management, Sam is a professional musician, a grade eight guitarist/drummer with a degree in Music Production, and he performs in bands nationwide every weekend.
