Ellen Bramhill

Ellen has been a landscape architect for over 20 years. She started her career working for Cobham Resource Consultants and Scott Wilson, before setting up Bramhill Design in 2008. Ellen has developed expertise in landscape visual assessment, public space and garden design but her major passion is working on public parks and historic landscapes. Over the last 15 years Ellen has become one of the most experienced practitioners in historic landscapes. She has been a monitor for the Heritage Lottery Fund for over 10 years and a mentor since the mentoring system was introduced. She has prepared numerous conservation management plans for public parks and estates across the country, including Batsford Arboretum, Gloucestershire and Ashton Court Estate, Bristol. Ellen has also overseen the implementation of major projects such as the restoration of Well Hall Pleasaunce, Eltham and Chiswick House, London. Her recent work for Bramhill Design, in addition to advising HLF, includes designing the gardens at Sandycombe Lodge to complement the C19 villa designed by the artist Turner, a landscape masterplan for a new road access to a school within an historic setting and a series of private gardens for clients in the Oxford area.

Paul Bramhill

Paul has had over 30 years experience working as a landscape manager, in local authority, private consultancy and then in the charity sector as CEO of parks and green spaces charity GreenSpace.
