LIMBO is the longest-standing artist studio complex and project space in Margate; set up in 2003, on the site of an electricity substation, just off Margate's high street and a mere stone's throw from the sea (more on the building's history...)... Established long before Turner Contemporary arrived in town, LIMBO is one of the few arts organisations in Margate that is run both independent of public funding bodies, and by and for the artists who work there... LIMBO is an artist-led organisation comprising studios and a Project Space, based at the former electrical substation off Margate's High Street.
