Brian S. Kern, Esq. is a well-recognized medical professional liability insurance executive, with nearly 20 years of experience. Brian joined Acadia Professional as Partner in March 2019.
Mr. Kern is an expert in many facets of professional liability risk, including risk purchasing and retention groups, captives and loss portfolio transfers. He has helped several large physician practices implement risk management programs that incorporate patient satisfaction and other metrics aimed at both decreasing risk and increasing reimbursement.
Mr. Kern currently serves as Affiliate Chair on the Board of New Jersey Medical Group Management Association (NJMGMA) and is a member of the Union County Medical Society Judiciary Committee. Mr. Kern has testified before the NJ Legislature and worked directly on several bills impacting healthcare. In 2016, he was honored as one of "Forty Under 40" by NJBiz.
More recently, Mr. Kern has focused on helping practices enter value-based programs by educating them on where new revenue sources exist, and how to protect themselves from downside risk. He continues to advise practices, "conveners' and consulting companies on government and private payor shared-savings models.
Mr. Kern is a thought-leader in healthcare risk, and a sought-after speaker on health law and risk issues. He has repeatedly spoken before the American Health Lawyer Association, as well as numerous other groups. His articles have been featured in Medical Economics and MedScape (where he serves on the editorial advisory board) among other notable industry outlets. Prior to joining Acadia, Mr. Kern founded Toro Risk Consulting Group - a risk consulting firm specializing in value-based care. Prior to Toro, Mr. Kern was the co-founder of Argent Professional, which was acquired by Bollinger. Mr. Kern serves as an advisor to several notable healthcare companies that specialize in areas such as blockchain technology, palliative and value-based care, revenue cycle management and data analytics. As an attorney for Frier Levitt, he was instrumental in creating a "regulatory practice group" for the firm.
Mr. Kern is a member of the NJ Bar, and a graduate of Seton Hall Law School and the University of Maryland.

Ms. Safarian is a graduate of Rowan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. Prior to joining Acadia, she started her marketing career with Smart Source LLC, where she accelerated global marketing and sales team efforts to connect the highest-quality promotional product solutions with vendors and clients. Recently, at Goldfish Swim School Cassandra boosted customer satisfaction rates and oversaw her team to prioritize client needs as the Sales and Service manager.
These previous experiences have helped Safarian develop strong client relationship and organization management skills necessary to excel as a Client Services Associate here at Acadia, interfacing with many of our largest clients throughout the country.
I have worked hand in hand with Cassandra Safarian for over two years and can not say enough about the partnership! Cass truly goes above and beyond - consistently - day in and day out. Mr. Curcio has over 23 years of experience in the New York medical malpractice insurance market. Chris started his career as a Marketing Coordinator with one of the largest insurance carriers in the U.S. and was quickly elevated to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has created multiple programs and value-added services to benefit healthcare providers and organizations throughout New York. Chris recently joined the Business Development team at Acadia Professional and will continue to build strategic relationships across the healthcare Industry. Chris is a native of New York and obtained his New York State P&C broker license in 2000.

With almost 30 years of C-suite experience as a medical malpractice insurance executive, Mr. Kane is one of the most recognized and trusted names in the industry. He is founding partner of Acadia, the nation's leading medical malpractice insurance broker, where he specializes in insuring large multistate private equity-backed medical practices.
Prior to founding Acadia, Mr. Kane served as Executive Vice President and Northeast Regional Director of Healthcare Liability at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. where he managed the largest portfolio of physician medical malpractice insurance in the country.
Prior to his position at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., Mr. Kane has spent the past 25 years running two very successful medical malpractice insurance operations and a healthcare technology company. He is an investor, mentor, and advisor to multiple startups.
Mr. Kane is a graduate of Lehigh University. He is currently a member of the New Jersey State Health Planning Board. He is a past member of the NJ State Youth Correctional Facilities Board of Trustees, the Board of Trustees of the Raritan Valley Community College, the United Way of Somerset County and Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church.
Ms. Robinson graduated from Montclair State University with a BS in Business Administration and Marketing. She began her career in sports marketing, working alongside an NFL agent. From there, she gained experience in marketing operations and demand generation in the legal industry.
Ms. Robinson also expanded her marketing career in the manufacturing industry, where she held positions in global communications, sales enablement, and digital marketing. In April 2021, she joined Acadia as Head of Marketing. Her diverse background, creativity, and results-driven abilities make her a valuable team member at Acadia.

Lindsey is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She began her career as a Special Education teacher where she gained many skills that contribute to her success as a Client Services Associate at Acadia.
Lindsey has a strong history of leadership serving as the Vice President for the council for Exceptional Children, a national professional organization of educators dedicated to advancing the success of children with exceptionalities.

Ms. Johnsen graduated from Rowan University with a BS in Business Management. She is currently on track to furthering her education with a master's degree in project management.
Prior to Acadia Nicolette worked as an office manager at Sunshine Prosthetics and Orthotics focusing on the wellbeing of all the patients and efficiency of the practice.
She loves that working at Acadia allows her to be in the business aspect of healthcare.

Scott Parker is the founder of Acadia Professional and a widely recognized medical professional liability insurance executive. Mr. Parker advances the initiatives that define Acadia as a market leader. Dedicated exclusively to the healthcare delivery space, Scott advises many of the nation's leading physician groups on professional liability matters. Parker 's expertise lies in the depth and breadth of his experience working with large practices to maximize their purchasing power, cover exposures, and provide risk transfer strategies. His unique relationships with national healthcare management companies, law firms, and consultants have helped position Acadia as a leader in the evolving healthcare professional liability industry.
Scott currently serves as a the President of the Society for Healthcare Risk Managers of NJ where he leads the organization's content delivery and strategic execution.
Prior to Acadia, Mr. Parker led Arthur J. Gallagher's New York Medical Professional Liability Office. Mr. Parker is recognized for his work with numerous county medical and specialty societies throughout the region. Scott has served on both the Membership Committee and the Advocacy Committee of the New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers and has become a recognized risk expert in the ASC community. Most recently he co-founded and organized the NY Metro ASC Symposium. Mr. Parker's work has been published in industry publications such as SurgiStrategies and New Jersey ASC.
From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Parker was a member of Merrill Lynch's institutional sales team in the product area of credit and credit derivative products. He has earned his Bachelor of Science from Fairfield University where he was a member of the Varsity Baseball Team. Parker is active in the Foundation for Diabetes Research, a charitable organization focused on funding critical research to cure diabetes.

Ms. Agelis graduated from Providence College with a BS in Health Policy and Management. She has been working on the agency side of the medical malpractice industry for the past seven years. At Acadia, Tara is a Director of Client Services, specializing in building, overseeing and maintaining relationships with key clients and personnel within our clients' practices.
Tara's team works on specialized programs, including hospital groups, complex multi-specialty and multi-state medical groups, and the delivery of services to clients.
Tara has a strong history of team leadership, at Providence, she was Captain of the School's Division 1 Women's Soccer Team, and recognized as a Scholar-Athlete.

Valerie joined Acadia to support its growing team develop and manage client relationships. Val has extensive experience in healthcare and insurance.
Valerie worked for a large primary care practice and MSO as a physician relations/onboarding specialist. As a licensed property and casualty insurance broker, she also worked in the insurance brokerage industry. Val's unique experience and skills add further depth to Acadia's team.
Valerie graduated from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a Bachelor's degree in Communications.
