ADOPTION MAINTENANCE EXPERTS

Ametheo promotes adoption preservation and support. We call ourselves "Adoption Maintenance Experts," and we strive to provide quality therapy, therapeutic parent education, and training for Adoption Competent Professionals. Our Adoption Support Groups assist families through community relationship with other adoptive families. We are also available to provide clinical consultation to Adoption Competent Therapists and local agencies... There are several ongoing adoption support groups for adoptive parents in Polk County with whom Ametheo sponsors or partners. Adoption support groups are being created in several areas of Polk and Highlands County with a target for beginning a new group in Hardee County soon. It is our goal to create "extended family" among the adoptive families of our community to provide support and caring for parents and a stronger sense of belonging to the children who realize they are not alone in the adoption journey.
