Peter Trono

Has over 32 years of Air traffic experience. His career started in 1974 in the United States Air Force certified in Tower, Approach Control, and GCA. In 1983 he began working for the Federal Aviation Administration at the Los Angeles Center Air Route Traffic Control Center, Palmdale, CA. While at Los Angeles Center he served as the Facility Safety Representative, Western Pacific Regional Safety Representative, Facility Advisory Board Chairman, and was one of the first controllers to serve as a Traffic Management Specialist. Peter began his research in Human Factors in 1996 and performed clinical studies in Human behavior as it relates to a safety culture. His expertise enabled him to become Western-Pacific Lead Air Safety investigator. Peter has been party with the NTSB and has investigated over 15 aircraft accidents. His current projects involve the research and development of new training methods. He has developed a one of a kind program that uses science and psychology to make controllers better. He has taught his program to colleagues and professionals throughout the United States with outstanding results.
