Irene Ross

Peter Zelas

Peter was the Clinical Dean at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals, a Teaching Hospital of the School of Medicine at Western Sydney University from its beginning in 2007 until the end of 2018. Peter has a Degree in Medicine from Sydney University. On graduation he specialised in surgery with particular interests in general and colorectal surgery. Peter's career was at Blacktown/Mount Druitt Hospital where he was appointed in 1971 and he has also held appointments at Westmead and Concord Hospitals. Peter has held a number of administrative roles within Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospitals, focussing on improvement in the delivery of safety and quality of healthcare and was on the planning team for the Hospital Expansion Project. From 2009 to 2018, Peter was Deputy Chair of the Board of the Western Sydney Local Health District. Peter has since retired from this role, but continues to be engaged in supporting the expansion of the Hospitals. In 2006, Peter attained a Master's Degree in International Public Health from Sydney University. Peter has volunteered as a surgeon with Medicines Sans Frontiers' (MSF), with tours to Liberia, Somalia and Indonesia, and has also worked in Nepal and Ghana. Peter was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2006 for services to medicine and to the community of western Sydney.

Satish Kumar - President

Satish is a Certified Practicing Accountant. He has owned and operated "A2Z Accountants NSW" in Blacktown since 2002. He has extensive hands on experience in accounting and financial management and held various executive positions in finance with companies such as Air Fiji, Van Air, Qantas, Workout World Group (Importer, wholesaler and retailer), CC Pharmacy Management Pty Ltd (Pharmacy Franchise retailer) and A2Z Accountants NSW (Public Practicing Accountant). Satish holds a degree in Accounting and Financial Management from University of The South Pacific, Fiji Islands and has taught accounting there as well. He obtained a bridging certificate in Accounting through the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has also obtained a Diploma in Parliamentary Procedures from Junior Chamber International (JCI). Satish is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), is a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia (ATIA) and the Australian Institute of Management (AIMM) and is a Fellow of the National Tax and Accountants Association (FNTAA). He is a Justice of Peace. Satish is the president of a non-profit organization, The Fiji Indian Association of Australia (TFIAA). He served on the Board of Syd West Multicultural Services formally known as Blacktown Migration Resource Centre. He currently sits on two committees (Multicultural Advisory Committee and the Safety Advisory Committee) of Blacktown City Council.

Stephen Bali

Stephen was elected State Member for Blacktown in 2017 and was elected to Blacktown City Council in 2004. He was elected as Mayor by his fellow Councillors in 2014 and was Deputy Mayor in 2009 and 2010. Stephen is a fellow of Certified Practising Accountants Australia (FCPA) with post graduate qualifications in commerce from Western Sydney University and, is a Fellow (F Fin) of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). He was previously National Vice President and NSW President of the Australian Workers Union (AWU). He has been an academic at both Western Sydney University and Newcastle University. Stephen is Chairman of Blacktown Venue Management Limited and is patron of organisations such as Blacktown and Districts Soccer Football Association, Blacktown & District Historical Society, Blacktown Cricket Association, Doonside Hawkes Football Club, Doonside Junior Rugby League, Doonside Little Athletics, Prospect Historical Association, Blacktown City Swim Club, Minchinbury Jets Rugby League Club and Maori Wardens Australia.
