We pride ourselves on making one off pieces for our customers covering anything from wedding jugs to christening plates ,funeral earns to a simple thank you jug. Obviously this is just an example of what we produce and nine times out of ten we meet the people we produce wares for but we will make pieces for people through the post or email. Most pieces take about six weeks and we do expect 30% of payment before we start your own personal piece of pottery... Established in 1983, Bideford Pottery is well renowned for its commemorative harvest ware. Strongly influenced by that of the North Devon 17th century potters, our work is elaborately decorated using the sgraffito technique. All are produced from rich red earthenware clay and coated in a warm yellow lead glaze.
