Alex Reiche

Alex is an Environmental Scientist and leader in the fields of environmentally preferable products, assessment systems and specification requirements. From early beginnings in the UK and his involvement with Groundwork Environmental Organisation, The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, The National Centre for Business and Sustainability, Alex then entered the building industry by becoming Research and Development coordinator for a multi-national architectural practice, focusing on computational design, sustainable design and sustainable materials. This naturally led to becoming involved with the New Zealand Green Building Council and Greenbuild upon arrival in New Zealand. Alex is now one of the leading Homestar consultants in the country and is highly regarded for his expertise and pragmatic approach to providing solutions. Sam Dallimore

Sam Dallimore completed a Bachelor of Science at Otago University in 2009 with a major in land planning and development and energy studies. In 2014 he joined EnviroSpec as an Environmental Assessment Analyst, quickly becoming a qualified Homestar Assessor and a founding partner of The Building Excellence Group. In this short period of time, Sam has gained invaluable experience from working closely with Alex Reiche and is already considered as one of the leading Homestar consultants in New Zealand. This has been showcased in a number of Homestar projects ranging from single dwellings to much larger multi-unit developments which have been successful in achieving Homestar ratings. Sam is excited by the challenge of encouraging sustainable design and looks forward to designing and building his own home in the near future - of course with the goal of a 10 Homestar rating.

Yariv Edery

Yariv has gained much office and site experience; he has overseen this installation of over 6,600m2 of solar panels, which produce 3.2GW of free energy and prevent the emission of 814 tonnes of CO2 each year. Yariv's educational background is in renewable energy sciences, robotics & automation, economics, management and marketing. Through his passion for renewable energy he has kept abreast of technology advances to ensure the creation of smarter and more efficient energy systems that meet the highest environmental construction standards.
