café 1909 was named in honour of the founding of Mildura Rowing Club on 23rd August in 1909 by its first president Dr Parker. In 1918 the original boathouse was washed away in a flood, and the Club rebuilt and reopened in 1923. Over 100 years since its inception, the long anticipated third instalment of the Mildura Rowing Club was completed in 2017, and we think third time is the charm... Located at the Mildura Riverfront, colloquially known as The Rowers, between Jaycee Park and Mildura Water Play Park, café 1909 has unparalleled river views, just a short walking distance from Mildura City Heart.
