DEMENTIA - Key Persons
Chris joined Dementia Jersey as a Trustee in April 2017 and became Chairman in February 2019. He is also Chairman of the Strategy and Governance Committees of Dementia Jersey.
Chris has held various honorary positions in the Charitable sector in Jersey including Chairman of the Association of Jersey Charities, Chairman of Sanctuary Trust and a trustee of Family Nursing and Homecare.
Chris is an Advocate of the Royal Court and his ‘day job' is a lawyer with Ogier. Chris was a partner of that firm for 30 years until he semi-retired in 2012 and is now a Consultant.
Claudine joined Dementia Jersey as CEO in May 2021.
Claudine grew up in Jersey and after graduating worked in the charity sector in the UK for just under 20 years. She has held senior roles for charities including Cancer Research UK, Asthma UK and the National Deaf Children's Society.

Helen joined Dementia Jersey in October 2022 initially as a group leader for the Meeting Place Project and now is an Activities and Volunteer Assistant too.
A local by default, having grown up in the island Helen followed the "Jersey" career path into the local finance industry, until she re-trained as a Primary school teacher. After spending a number of very happy and busy years teaching in the Midlands, she returned to the island and moved into the 3rd sector working at Communicare in St Brelade running the café and kitchen. A chance conversation led to her involvement with Dementia Jersey.
John joined Dementia Jersey in November 2018 and brings with him a wealth of experience of organisational matters having worked within IT and Operations in Jersey for over 26 years for leading financial services and legal firms.
Lauren joined the Board of Trustees in September 2022. Prior to then she had held the position of Executive Director of another local health related charity for 7 years. She is keen to share her experiences and passions on a voluntary basis, supporting the further growth of Dementia Jersey - a charity she feels is professional and personal, and whose remit will only grow as more people are expected to become affected by dementia.
Lauren has 20 years' experience delivering and leading cancer services. More recently she has qualified as a Lifestyle Medicine Professional, an approach to health care that focusses on prevention and management of chronic illness through evidence-based lifestyle changes.
She hopes to work alongside the Dementia Jersey team strategically to support and optimise the lifestyle factors of people using the services now and her life aspiration is to prevent a few cases in the future.

Mike joined the Dementia Jersey team in January 2022 and uses his design and digital skills to create great looking resources which help us promote dementia awareness in Jersey.
Mike has nearly 30 years' experience working for local media and marketing agencies in Jersey. He started his career as a graphic designer at the Jersey Evening post, moving on to publishing houses, advertising agencies and then running his own design agency for 15 years. He is a highly skilled creative specialising in advertising, print and website design.

Nadine joined Dementia Jersey in January 2022, bringing with her a lot of passion and enthusiasm. She is responsible for our PR and all things fundraising.
With a background in marketing, along with expert client management skills, Nadine's experience enables her to bring a clear understanding of how to raise awareness of the charity, our fundraising events and engage with the local community.
As well as PR and fundraising, Nadine also heavily supports with social media and content writing.

Nick joined Dementia Jersey as a Trustee in June 2019 and was Treasurer from then until December 2022.
Nick is a chartered accountant with an MBA and for his day job is the CEO of LV Care Group.
