Alondra Mendez Davis

Alondra, was born and raised in Green Level, North Carolina. Alondra started her education at Appalachian State University. Currently, Alondra is a senior at Park University where she will complete her bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Her passion is to serve others and to be an advocate for those who may not feel heard. Alondra has a history of engaging with the community to aid resources not only back in North Carolina and in Washington. In her free time, Alondra enjoys spending time with her family. She loves cooking and hosting the friends she's made as a military spouse! She also likes to travel and anything Disney! Alondra is fluent in Spanish as well!

Anahi Arenas

Anahi, pronounced as "Ana-ee," was born in Granada Hills, California and raised in Washington. Currently, Anahi is a senior at Saint Martin's University getting her bachelor's degree in political science. At Saint Martin's University, Anahi is involved in extracurriculars such as the Latinx Student Alliance, International Club and regularly volunteers at the Thurston County Food Bank drive-through held at Saint Martin's. In her free time, Anahi enjoys spending time with her friends and family, walking her dog Kobe and playing piano. In the future, she has aspirations to go to law school. She is fluent in Spanish and aids the attorneys with translation when needed.

Christopher Desmond

Background Born in Warren, Michigan Chris has lived and worked in the Puget Sound area since he was twelve years old. As an attorney Christopher has worked at the Department of Assigned Counsel in Pierce County, Platt & Arndt in Island County, and the Law Offices of Jay Carey in Snohomish County. Chris is now the President of the Desmond Law Group, P.S. based out of Olympia, WA. Chris has appeared in over seven counties in Washington State representing clients. He has advocated for thousands of clients since he became a member of the Washington State Bar in 2004. Chris works hard to understand what his client's goals are in the case he is on. He wants to know what you want and works to achieve that goal while advising his clients how best to attain their goals.

Hye Young Park

Biography Hye Young worked in publishing for many years before she moved to the United States from South Korea. She studied comparative literature at the University of Wisconsin where she got her master's degree. She has also worked as a certified medical interpreter. In April of 2019, Hye Young completed the Washington State Bar Associations Rule 6 program. The WSBA Rule 6 program let her study to become a lawyer as she worked and learned hands on from experienced attorneys. Hye Young has years of experience working with clients, listening to what they want to achieve, and developing goals of representation with them. She has successfully helped her clients achieve their goals by fighting for them in court, conferences and meetings. Hye Young believes caring and understanding about her client's goals is key to a successful outcome for her clients. Hye Young enjoys hiking, reading and taking her son to his numerous extra-curricular activities. She is also a great animal lover, especially her cats Fuzzball and Atheno. Jerica Wilson

Biography Jerica grew up in Battle Ground, WA and joined Desmond Law Group in 2022. She is a passionate advocate and loves working with clients. Jerica represents parents and children in dependency cases and helps families navigate their way through CPS and court involvement. Community service is very near and dear to her heart. In her undergraduate work she collaborated with communities and organizations across the State of Vermont and completed hundreds of hours of service. During law school Jerica worked in the College of Law's legal aid clinic where she provided free legal services to indigent clients in family law and landlord tenet matters. She interned with the Coeur d'Alene Tribe drafting wills and testamentary documents for tribal members and interned with the Nez Perce County Civil Prosecutors Office where she worked closely with the County Road Department concerning state and federal environmental laws. After years away Jerica is excited to be back home in Washington and is ready to fight to help keep families together. Jerica will work with you to achieve your goals and advocate for your rights. Kimberly Powell

Biography Kimberly was born and raised in SE Washington. After obtaining her psychology degree from the University of Idaho, Kimberly obtained her law degree from Willamette University College of Law and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2010. In 2012, Kimberly returned to the state of Washington where she has dedicated her career to helping preserve families. Kimberly is a dedicated and compassionate attorney focusing on parents and children in dependency matters. Her years of experience working in family law helps her treat each client with compassion and clearly communicate the right strategy for success in and outside of the courtroom. She believes her job is to minimize the damage to parents and children as dependency cases are often incredibly stressful, which is why Kimberly is committed to making the legal process as easy as possible for her clients. When not at work, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her family, friends and border collie. She also loves to hike, camp and explore all the amazing things the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Susan Gillen

Biography As a lawyer in practice since 1985, Susan brings professional experience with people from all walks of life. She has worked as a legal counsel for a state legislature, as a civil legal advocate for low-income individuals, as a public defender for a Native tribe, and as a court commissioner for civil matters. She has practiced in Nebraska and in Washington. Susan grew up in South Dakota and spent most of her legal career in Nebraska. She located to the Pacific Northwest in 2016 after meeting her current spouse. Susan enjoys reading, sports, nature and pets. She has one son, one step-son and many pets.
