Corinne Hecht

Corinne Hecht MD is a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). She has authored articles, book chapters and lectured at professional society meetings throughout her career, but her greatest strength lies in patient care. Dr. Hecht earned her bachelor's degree in human biology at Stanford University, followed by a year immersed in fine art studies in Florence, Italy. While at the University of Washington School of Medicine she was accepted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, received a Howard Hughes fellowship to research new drugs in treating melanoma and served as a counselor at a camp dedicated to kids with skin disease. After medical school she continued at the University of Washington to complete her dermatology residency and was selected as chief resident of the program in her final year of training. Prior to joining Dermatology Laser Center, she enjoyed a diverse dermatology practice in San Diego, CA at a Sharp Rees-Stealy and in Bellingham as part of the team at Peace Health Medical Group. Dr. Hecht's approach to dermatology stems from a belief that the very best outcomes are achieved when patients and doctors partner together. The more a patient understands about their skin disease the better equipped they are to navigate through its challenges. She believes in engaging patients and using the most current scientific data to guide choices and individualize care. Within dermatology she has a blended practice managing both medical skin diseases in all ages and aesthetic concerns. She recognizes that most medical patients have cosmetic concerns and vice versa, so to be able to address both with finesse means truly comprehensive skin care. She leads the cosmetic portion of DLC and finds joy in connecting with patients about their aging process and tailoring treatment plans that resonate with each individual. She is skilled at laser medicine in dermatology and runs a broad array of Lutronic lasers to manage skin concerns from vascular birthmarks to skin resurfacing. She also prides herself in being a slow, intentional, and thoughtful injector, focusing on restoration, gentle enhancement and a refreshed result. With years of training in skin physiology, facial anatomy, and an intuitive hand in the arts, she finds her aesthetic practice brings just as much value to a patient's health and wellbeing as her medical practice. When she is not scratching itches at the office you can usually find her picking vegetables in the garden with her husband and their two fun-loving kids, feeding their flock of chickens or exploring nature's best here in the PNW.
