Jim Hengel

Jim joined Floratine in 2017 with a wealth of experience as a CGCS, an educator, a mentor and a consultant. Jim has been the director of operations at Binghamton CC, The Links at Hiawatha Landing, The Glen, Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, and Quail Ridge CC. He has completed several grow-in and construction projects and participated in several PGA Championships, the U.S. Amateur, the PGA Grand Slam and Champions Tour events. Jim assists with special projects and new technology platforms, and consults with customers to achieve optimal turf conditions and management practices.

Kory Wheeler

A former potato, hay, grain, and cattle producer in Idaho. Kory has worked in most levels of the crop input industry over his 25-year career and loves figuring out how to make things flourish. After college, Kory worked as a Crop Advisor with growers in Idaho and Oregon. He then moved to Washington State and worked for Zeneca/Syngenta as a Territory Lead. Kory then went to work for Gowan Company as a Global Product Manager. In 2010, Kory took the position of Nutritional Products Specialist for the Western Business Unit of Helena Chemical Company which evolved into the role of Strategic Account Manager (SAM). Kory was then asked to move to the California Desert to manage the Brawley, CA Branch and later Yuma, AZ which saw great success in his tenure. Kory joined the Floratine team in 2017 in his current role. Kory speaks Portuguese. He has a B.S. in Business and Agribusiness from Utah State University and an M.B.A. from Boise State University. Kory and his wife Krysten currently reside in Kaysville, UT, and together have 9 children.

Mike Cavanaugh - EVP

Mike Cavanaugh is the Executive Vice President and Co-Owner of Floratine Products Group, headquartered in Collierville, TN. Mike is a former Marine Captain and attack helicopter pilot. After leaving the Marines, Mike worked in various roles in the pharmaceutical industry for ten years to include sales and marketing for Abbott Labs in Chicago. Moving back to his current home of Newtown, PA, he helped start a new biotech company, OraPharma, and served as Executive Director of Marketing. OraPharma was purchased by Johnson and Johnson four years later. Post-acquisition, he served with J&J as National Sales Director until 2007. In 2007, he and his brother, Kevin, bought Floratine Products Group with a private equity partner. He has a B.S. in Business from Penn State and M.B.A. from New York University, Stern School of Business. He is married and has one daughter who lives in Rotterdam.

Todd Gilmour

Todd is a former golf course superintendent who has worked on projects across the world. He was an assistant at Gleneagles Resort in Scotland, where he oversaw bunker and tee renovations as well as helped install coursewide irrigation. Todd was also the grow-in superintendent for Nanea Golf Club on the Big Island of Hawaii, where he studied different grass selections and helped lead the grow-in of the 18-hole facility, and he spent time as the superintendent of Stonebridge Meadows in Fayetteville, AR. Todd currently owns and operates Turf Care of Texas and Arkansas Turf Support, which provide consultation and materials to sports fields and golf courses throughout both states.
