Ronald S. Foster

Ronald S. Foster Q. C. was called to the Alberta bar in 1971 and his practice is restricted to Family Law. He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Government of Canada) in 1988. He is also a family law mediator, certified Chartered Arbitrator and a member of the ADR Institute of Alberta. Ronald S. Foster Q. C. has extensive experience in resolving complex family law issues, high net worth separation and divorce, trials, appeals, private arbitration and mediation, drafting of marriage or co-habitation agreements. His primary focus is on the issues of the identification, valuation and division of family property (personal and corporate), including tax consequences, and all aspects of spousal support, child support, parenting.. He employs several legal assistants to assist clients. He is a strong of maximizing the use of technology . His mission is to guide his clients after a separation through to a successful resolution of their complex family problems. Ron also has been a presenter and speaker at legal education seminars in the Province of Alberta, the National Judicial Institute, and National Family Law programs. He is also a contributing editor of the Alberta family law litigation handbook.
