Get Shift Done is a relief fund and initiative launched in North Texas to address both affected service workers who have lost their paychecks and immediate support for the demand of the non-profits, especially with respect to hunger relief. Since then, we have expanded our local efforts and are working to launch Get Shift Done programs in cities nationwide... Get Shift Done has provide nearly 1 million hours of skilled shifts to 110+ non-profits in 12 cities... Before Covid 19, 1 in 6 American children did not know where their next meal was coming from. Critical to their food security were the volunteers, non-profits and school programs that feed them everyday. COVID 19 was a breaking point: already at-risk populations were furloughed, schools closed, volunteer and hunger relief demand began to surge.
