Alexandra earned her Bachelor of Arts in philosophy at McMaster University and her Juris Doctor at Western University.
Alexandra articled in criminal defence and civil litigation. She has also acted as a federal prosecutor for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada in Timmins, where she was Vice President of the Cochrane Law Association and President of the South Porcupine Food Bank.
Alexandra has trial experience in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, and has drafted material for Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
Alexandra is an avid hiker, runner, canoeist, skier, and tennis player. She is the proud parent of a husky who occupies much of her spare time as well as most of the memory of her cell phone.

Greg Stewart joined Donnelly Murphy in 2000 after almost 20 years of practice in Windsor and Essex County. His practice is primarily in the areas of Municipal, Planning, Employment, Civil Litigation and Corporate Law as well as some work in the area of Estates and Wills.
Greg acts for several municipalities in the area in addition to having been appointed as Closed Meeting Investigator and Integrity Commissioner for the City of London, and a number of municipalities in Middlesex, Oxford and Perth Counties. In addition to representing clients, Greg is also experienced in mediation and arbitration and available to assist parties in that manner.
Greg is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Huron Law Association, and the Bayfield Historical Society. He is currently the Chairman of the local advisory committee for the Clinton Hospital and the Huron-Perth Hospital Alliance.
Greg is a graduate of the University of Windsor in Political Science and a graduate of the University of Windsor Faculty of Law.
Joan joined the Family Law practice at Donnelly Murphy Lawyers PC in March 2022, bringing with her over 22 years of experience appearing at the Divisional Court, the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice.
Drawing upon a wealth of experience, Joan assists her clients in all aspects of separation, divorce and the division of family property such as homes and pensions.
Joan grew up in a community just a few minutes north of Goderich and is excited to return home to continue her family law practice with one of the area's preeminent law firms.
Joan graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1998 and was Called to the Ontario Bar in 2000. The skills she has acquired in mediation and alternative dispute resolution training are utilized daily for the benefit of her clients to facilitate early resolution of their complex legal issues.
Joan feels strongly about giving back to her community through volunteer work and has devoted her time to organizations such as the Alzheimer Society, Girl Guides of Canada and sitting on the Board of the Victoria Haliburton Law Association. Joan is empaneled on the Family Law and the Child Protection Panels with Legal Aid Ontario and does accept Legal Aid Certificates for family law and child protection matters in Huron County.
Mary has recently joined the firm after being a sole practitioner in Goderich since 1990. She practices primarily in the areas of family law, real estate law and wills and estates.
She has argued cases at all levels of court in Ontario including the Court of Appeal.
Mary obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario, is a past president and past vice president of the Huron Law Association, has served on the board of directors of the Alzheimer Society of Huron County and has volunteered in youth sport in the community.
Mary has been on the Legal Aid panel of lawyers in this area since she began practicing and is a former member of the local Legal Aid Area Committee. She has served many clients who have experienced domestic abuse and clients with special needs.
Mary has taken advanced mediation training and is looking forward to applying these skills and her past experience to assist families in resolving their disputes in a cost efficient and cooperative needs based approach.

Mike joined the firm in 1985, and practices in the areas of criminal law, and estates. In addition to defending criminally accused, Mike also represents the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, in prosecuting matters which fall under Federal jurisdiction.
Mike is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Criminal Lawyers Association, and the Huron Law Association. He is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and past member of the Epilepsy Society of Huron-Perth-Bruce, the Goderich Minor Soccer League, Goderich Minor Baseball League, and the advisory board of the St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Kings College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts, and Osgoode Hall, where he earned his law degree. He was called to the bar in 1985.
After articling with Donnelly Murphy in 2020, Nick was called to the bar in January, 2021, and now works with the firm as an associate. He practices generally in the areas of civil litigation, including landlord/tenant, and family law.
Nick studied law at Dalhousie University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he received a Schulich School of Law Scholarship, before returning home to southwestern Ontario.
Prior to entering a career in law, Nick attended the University of Guelph, where he earned his PhD in Canadian history, with a focus on rural Ontario. He also attended McMaster University for his Master's and Huron University College, at the University of Western Ontario, for his B.A.
Nick is an avid writer and has been writing for various agricultural periodicals since 2014, focusing largely on legislative issues pertaining to farming, government agricultural policy, and environmental issues.
Patrick practices in the areas of Personal Injury and Insurance Litigation. He is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. He has over 25 years of experience and specializes in cases involving Personal Injury, Statutory Accident Benefits, Insurance, and Municipal Liability.
Patrick is a past Executive member of the Ontario Bar Association and an elected Council member of the Canadian Bar Association. He also was elected to the Board of Directors of The Advocate's Society and was a member of the Canadian Bar Association Continuing Legal Education committee.
Patrick is a past Co-Chair of the Ontario Review Board and a Legal member of the Consent and Capacity Board. He was appointed for 4 terms by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
Patrick holds the designation of Certified Mediator and offers Mediation services throughout Ontario in the areas of Personal injury, Accident Benefits and Insurance disputes.
Patrick lives with his wife Brenda on a 100 acre farm outside of Goderich.
Phil graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics with a Joint Major in Computer Science and Philosophy from the University of Waterloo. He then attended the University of Toronto where he obtained his Juris Doctor in Law.
Phil has had the privilege to speak and present research papers at several law conferences on the issues of evidence and social media's role in civil litigation cases.
Phil lives on a farm in Central Huron with his wife and two young children. In his spare time he enjoys fishing and spending time outdoors.
Sheryl joined Donnelly Murphy in 2002. Her law practice focuses on Wills, Power of Attorney appointments, Estate plans and administration, Estate litigation; and, Family law matters.
She is an experienced wills, estate and estate litigation lawyer and provides advice with respect to various estate related matters including the potential benefits of preparing dual wills, creating a trust for someone with special needs, assisting someone appointed under a Power of Attorney for Property and/or Personal Care or working with a trustee appointed to administer an estate. Sheryl has assisted clients dealing with a variety of estate litigation issues such as Will challenges, dependent support claims, acting under a Power of Attorney appointment, mental incapacity, and disappointed beneficiaries.
Sheryl is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario where she earned a LL.B. (2001), a M.A (1982), B.A. Educ. (1978) and a B.A. in Physical Education and Health (Honours 1977). She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Huron Law Association, and the Bruce Law Association.
Troy Dore is the principal lawyer in our Port Elgin office. Before graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Business degree and from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, he grew up on a farm outside of Teeswater, Ontario.
Troy was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2012.
Troy has extensive experience in Wills and Estates, Corporate and Commercial, and Real Estate. Troy's background in business, finance, and land development provides a unique perspective when advising owners and developers with their legal matters.
Troy's clients know him as someone who provides practical advice, drawing on his depth of experience, while at the same time ensuring his matters have prompt attention and are always advancing forward to resolution.
Having grown up in Bruce County, Troy enjoys exploring the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and being active in the local community.
