Walter Hamberg, III has three decades of experience as a litigator in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate level. He focuses his practice in the area of fiduciary litigation, which includes estate and trust disputes, fiduciary accountings, will contests, fraudulent transfers of property, as well as contested guardianships and conservatorships. He has represented clients in every capacity, including heirs, beneficiaries, trustees, personal representatives, conservators, guardians and wards. As a passionate advocate for his clients, Walter brings forward a deep commitment to his clients' matters, including an understanding of the personal and family disharmony that can come with the types of disputes that arise in the fiduciary area. Walter has developed a reputation in his area of practice as a lawyer who understands his clients, and is dedicated to pursuing his clients' interests with their goals always in mind. Walter also has a long commitment to public service. He has the honor of serving as a Trustee of the Fulton County Law Library Board of Trustees. As part of his public service he has also served as a board member on the Subcommittee for the development of Fulton County's new Judicial Resource Center, the Poverty Affidavit Subcommittee and the Grants Subcommittee. He is a volunteer for the Georgia Volunteer Lawyer's for the Arts, as well as the Probate Information Centers in both Fulton and DeKalb County. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Georgia State Bar Fee Arbitration program. Active in the Atlanta Bar Association, he is a member of the Estate Planning and Probate Section, the Litigation Section and the Elder Law Section. Walter was born in Spokane Washington, the son of a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force, and spent his formative years traveling and living in many parts of the world before the family settled in Metropolitan Atlanta, where Walter graduated from High School. In his spare time, Walter enjoys hobbies including scuba diving and is an avid music fan. Prior to becoming an attorney, he enjoyed a rewarding career as a professional musician, performing on the Trumpet, traveling widely performing in various symphony orchestras, chamber groups, theaters and recording studios, or as a teacher, on staff or giving master classes, throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
